I don’t think we can just pencil in LeBron as staying healthy anymore. All that mileage has to take a toll sooner or later. Last year kinda felt like the early signs that it is taking place. They’ll be good but not scary good with a prime LeBron.

It seems to me that Leonard really wanted to go home and play in LA, but didn't want to play for the Lakers.  He didn't want to be on the Clippers alone so he got Paul George to ask to be traded.  Because OKC held all of the cards they got perhaps the greatest trade haul in history.  I mean Gallinari and SGA alone would have been a decent haul for a player asking out, but to get what might be 7 1st round picks is absolutely astonishing.  Great deal for OKC and because the trade led to Leonard also, the Clippers had to do it, but man or man if PG and Kawhi don't fit, don't work, or get hurt the Clippers will be awful for a decade.

I think the fact he even entertained the Lakers at all show justs how badly they were the team he wanted to play for, but they already had their star duo and Kawhi did not want to be 3rd wheel. 

If Kawhi had the choice between teaming up with someone who wouldn't overshadow him on the Lakers or Clippers he would have absolutely chosen the Lakers, but that choice wasn't available to him, so here we are with Kawhi a Clipper.

Still too early to see how this plays out in LA but it is certainly looking like an uphill climb for Lakerville - all because AD got starstruck by Rich Paul, the glitter for the Lakers and the hype.

This maybe his last superhuman year his body can produce the old results, take over for a few plays in row. Then when he hits  35-36 years old he is gonna need LOTS of help .   Lebron already plays little defense , not that he can t ,  he just coasts and saves everything to make an offensively play .  But SOMEBODY is going to have to play defense or the other teams will run wild scoring on them.

Sooner he is out of the NBA   the better for overall fan base and stability.  he wants a one team league ...the one he is on.....every year.

NBA fans won today. Kawhi taking all that time for the Clips to get PG13. Well played and now he has his running mate. 

And well played by OKC to milk as many assets as possible from the Clips.  If I'm OKC, I'd dangle Westbrook in front of the Knicks.  Dolan has got to be desperate to make a move.

Didn't think about the Knicks, but they'd be the team to get themselves stranded with Westbrook's contract. Would be an instant rebuild for OKC

What an awesome return for the OKC Thunder.  As for the Clippers, they just cemented themselves as the title favorite AND established their franchise as destination that's on par with the Lakers.  You can't quantify the significance of this move.

The Sixers also lost some pieces in the trade for Butler, plus Butler himself, and Redick.  And then added an aging Al Horford.  The team that just lost to the Raptors in the 2nd round is definitely weaker.

Milwaukee loses Brogdon but adds another twin big man. They’re a tad weaker than before.

Toronto is going to be a shell of their former selves.

Indiana definitely improved with Brogdon and no major losses.

The Celts are similiar to the Sixers. Lost two key starters, replaced only one with a comparable replacement. If we had been able to access the MLE I would have been pleased. But we’ve still got a lot of assets for a trade. One move and we could be the beasts of the East.
