If we don't have the MLE it seems like a NN type player is the best we are going to get.  Getting major minutes on a prove you are worth a bigger deal might be really good for Noel.

The point of the S&T with Charlotte was to create the potential to use a series of sign-and-trades to open up the MLE or Bird rights for some players.  As it stands, we are simply helping Charlotte get Rozier, for which we’ll probably receive a second-round pick.  If another avenue opens up, we can expand our trade with Charlotte, since it’s already negotiated and can work on its own.  But without the trade to Charlotte, we’d be in the same position as we are now, minus whatever trinket they’re giving us for helping with Rozier.

It's looking like the S&T of Rozier was meant to be part of the process of keeping Horford.   Some are saying that the Cs are unsure whether they now have larger or smaller exception....this means Danny thought he was pulling off the surprise move of Al staying and is now attempting to figure out where just the Rozier trade leaves us..

Anyone know if we can do a S&T with Golden State and Charlotte that gets us Looney and Kemba, Charlotte gets Rozier and GSW get a TE?  Is it possible to expand the deal to include them?  Compensation from Charlotte can just go to GSW versus the C's.

Nope, not possible to only include Golden State.  Any sign-and-trade that gets us the ability to add players through other sign-and-trades or the MLE must include at least one of Brooklyn or Philly.
