Durant will be out all next year. He could then have a "Gordon Hayward" type recovery and be a shell of his former self in year 2 of that contract. It is possible the Durant everyone knows could not return until his age 33 season in his third year on that Brooklyn contract.

Good to see that high quality management and culture have turned another sad franchise around but the real results of this Durant signing may not happen until the 2012-22 season. So glad that dumpster fire that is the Knicks wasn't rewarded with Durant and Kyrie. I said months ago Durant and Kyrie seemed much more likely because of the core players that would be there. Rather see those two in Brooklyn than the Knicks, who I despise beyond belief.

I agree.  Depending on how the rest of the things in the East play out, it's unlikely Kyrie leads Brooklyn deep into the playoffs while Durant recovers as well.  I hope Kyrie is ready for more of the same criticism that he got in Boston.

I'm seeing a pattern developing.

Kyrie goes to a new team. This time the star that's injured is an even bigger star. They play one season with Kyrie and a set of good young players, then the following year Durant shows up and everyone takes a back seat. What could go wrong?

I also question the D'Andre Jordan signing. They have Jarrett Allen. They had no use for him. It shows who is in charge. I expect issues in Brooklyn.

MJ didn't watch this years playoffs apparently and witness Rozier's 32% FG% in the playoffs.  I guess he's still impressed by the "Scary" Terry of 2017-2018.

Per Shams, Rozier's deal is fully guaranteed.  Now that the Kings have got themselves on an upward track Charlotte's got the title of stupidest franchise locked up for a while.  Now just need them to trade for Wiggins.
