Brooklyn is making a clean sweep tonight: Brooklyn will sign Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving and DeAndre Jordan, league sources tell ESPN.

He didn't like being 2nd fiddle to Lebron.  Let's see how he likes being 2nd fiddle to KD.

Being second fiddle to Lebron had him in finals year after year after year. Durant is no drop off there if he recovers. This is a big obstacle for us over the next five years minus next year. Worst scenario for us and our division.

That's a pretty gigantic "if," as guys typically never recover from Achilles tears.

There is only so much you can do at a miniature size, I tip my hat to Kyrie for not having pride about it, but being real. Kemba is not taking ya'll anywhere, trust me. He is more of an iso guy and smaller than Kyrie. Check his usage.

 Lets keep it real, Kyrie was not the only pg to lose in the playoffs. Some went home earlier than him,others did not even make it..It is not like Dame, Harden or Westbrook proven that they can be the best players on championship teams....

Anyway, this is bad for anyone planning on contending. The best closer in the game in Kyrie, and the best player in the game in Durant. 2 top ten players on the same team, then add Jordan and the fact they were already a playoff team? Wowsers .

If we use cap space to sign Kemba, we only get the room exception which is less than 5M. 
If we get him via S&T, we'll have the non-taxpayer's MLE which is about 10M.

Edit:  I don't think we'll be dealing with the Nets.  I think it will just be the Hornets in a double S&T.

By the way - who in their right mind is giving Rozier just short of $20M per season? What a dumb, dumb owner MJ is lol Kemba even at the full five year max is such a better investment.

But with base compensation in effect with the sign and trade, Rozier kind of has to get a big payday.

Not necessarily. I think we only needed like $6M to get the deal done in addition to Kyrie's TPE.

I imagine that he needed a bit more to go to Charlotte over a place like NYK, who was also a suitor, so that's probably a big factor in it. Funny thing is that it just hurts Charlotte to pay him that much, not us lol

Sources: The Boston Celtics are progressing towards a series of sign and trade deals to enable them to re-sign Al Horford, while also maintaining the full MLE.

There are still several hurdles to clear for Boston, but confidence is growing that they will be able to get to where they need to complete a S&T for Kemba Walker, while staying over the cap to re-sign Al Horford, while keeping the full MLE and staying just under the hard cap.
