Just watched highlights. I’m glad the guy is a rim runner off the P&R. We could use some inside threats! I hope CBS can adapt to his bigs’ strengths. We have Kanter, Poirier and Timelord who are mainly threats in the paint.
A guy like Kevin Love would be a good fit for the current Celts.
But I don't know if the Celts would want Love's contract.
Love, Kanter, Rob Will, and Poirier would be a solid frontcourt.
KLove is definitely still a good player and even if he’s not a good interior defender, would fit with our team nicely. He’s Horford with worse defense, better rebounding and better O. I don’t know how C’s acquire him though, especially at his salary.
Love was pretty bad against us in 2018 playoffs. His replacement, Jeff Green, played much better than Love did.
So you’re willing to give up Brown and those other assets for a guy who was benched for Jeff Green.
Makes sense.
Love was pretty bad against the Celts in 2018 because the Celts' game plan exposed Love's weakness.
But right now Love is a good fit because Horford's gone.
If Tatum becomes a 20-point scorer and Hayward returns to All-Star form, Brown would be redundant.
Celts will be better off adding a player like Kevin Love, someone that can fill a need.
I'm really not sold on Tatum playing PF full-time.
Kevin Love has his strengths and weaknesses, just like most players.
But Love is an All-Star who's considered one of the best shooting bigs in the NBA and one of the best rebounding PFs in the league.
