15-18 million! That's nuts!

"Rozier has reportedly spoken with the New York Knicks (who believe the guard isn’t too far a step down from what Kyrie Irving) in the weeks following the Celtics elimination from the 2019 postseason. One insider expects him to take home anywhere between $15-18 million a year wherever he signs."

I mean, I guess I can see 15M AAV if a team wanted to take a gamble that the Scary Terry of 2017-2018 returns. But yeah, higher than that seems ridiculous. I think he can land somewhere around 3 years, 39-45M. Doubt he gets a 4th year unless the bidding for him is actually more intense than it seems

I hope he gets it. He gave us some great memories (will never forget that steal a couple of seasons ago in Indy to win the game).

Not anymore. The Celtics will be renouncing Rozier to be able to sign Kemba.

Jeesh, $15-$18m a year is insane. Reggie Jackson 2.0, but maybe worse

I thought we picked up his option, was under the impression that he could be used in a sign and trade?

The Knicks were supposed to bring in a couple top free agents and they're going to end up with overpaying Rozier.  Yikes!!!

The Knicks believe Rozier isn’t “too far a step down from Irving”.

HAHA!

I assume they were measuring in terms of locker room disruption ability? Because in terms of on-court basketball talent, that is a steep step down ;D
