People who want Irving gone should absolutely want Rozier to stay and be the starting PG. After all, his main beef was seemingly with Kyrie. If Rozier is starting, the expectation should be that he will be more free to be himself and more team oriented.

I should clarify that I absolutely want Irving back, but wanting both of them gone doesn't make much sense. It's really Team Kyrie vs Team Rozier and Team Rozier seems to be winning out - even if people don't realize that's what they really want.
God no. Rozier isn’t that good. Just start Smart. Sign a decent backup veteran pg. There’s really no need to overpay Rozier. He literally does nothing well.

Oh, I know. It was my best attempt at pulling an LB - some truth to the premise, but more likely to get under people's skin.

To further this, I don’t think Rozier starts over Smart anyways. The only reason he ever started the last couple of years was due to both Kyrie and Smart being injured.
Recovering Joe Skeptic, but inching towards a relapse.

I agree about Rozier--he's dynamic, doesn't turn it over, but still proves to be wildly inefficient. I just worry that Ainge has an extremely odd obsession with Rozier, and I can't see him letting Rozier walk.

I’ve been one of the biggest proponents of Kyrie and trading for AD all year. I still want him back. But at this point, if we’re willing to trade for AD and Kyrie leaves, I’m burning the jersey. I don’t care that it’s a bad look. Kyrie verbally committed to the team, called out the young guys for not having experience, etc. And now at the first sign of adversity he wants to turn himself into a liar and make those of us who defended him all year look like fools? F that. One hand will be holding a beer as the other throws #11 into a Cape Cod beach bonfire.

I’m going to Trinidad & Tobago on Tuesday. I hope we have some clarity by then because I’ll be [dang]ed if I waste anymore time on this crap than I already have when there’s life beyond the Celtics.

Thanks for the welcome. For the next year or so, you can count on me acting like one of the old man muppets in the balcony. At best. Probably. With less OHH HOHOHO’ing.

Hard to disagree with any of this. I absolutely want Kyrie back and will dance with glee if he re-signs; however, if he bails, I will absolutely despise the guy and have no respect for him ever again.

From what I've been hearing Kyrie to the nets is pretty much a done deal. I don't think he cares about anthony davis or winning basketball. He wants to be closer to home and better able to work on his brand and other businesses in NYC.

If he resigns, I will love him til my last breath! If he bails on us, hell hath no fury and I will surely wish him misery vs our team for the next decade. Please resign so i can keep my heart pure and loving! 😁 I truly do enjoy his personality and think he can become a legend in Green. In Black he is but a shadow of death and nothing but a memory.

If Kyrie is going to The Nets why not just say it? Is he waiting for after the finals so it will be a bigger story? This is some high drama!
