Yeah spending big money on a Center who can be played off the court isn't great. Not unless you already have the rest of the pieces locked in which the C's do not.
I'm not really a big fan of Capela at all, but he has almost never been played off the court. He's pretty good at switching.
His free throws are bad, but we don't see hack-a-capela (or anybody else) a lot anymore.
I do agree that spending big money on limited (not bad per se) centers like Whiteside, Drummond, Adams, Gobert, Thompson, Valanciunas, Biyombo, Capela, Mozgov, Dieng, Mahinmi, Cody Zeller, Mason Plumlee, Miles Plumlee generally is bad business. With a few exceptions, those teams won't be happy with these contracts.
That list became a lot longer than I expected. My goodness that's a lot of wasted money.
I want to see a game of basketball with these 14 players (5 vs 5, both sides have 2 reserves). That would be fun!
