i thought i just heard an analyst with jared weiss saying young was a better dribbler
wow i must have missed something ...
I'm with you here. Hunter is definitely a better dribbler than James Young.
rj is a much better passer and young on surface looks better rebounder but i call that a draw
Regarding passing, it's pretty clear. RJ is a gifted passer, and not only that he can run offense in the pick and roll, can run a break, can iso. But James Young's advances in moving the ball in the team game are apparent in this preseason.
i keep hearing 3 and d player for young -gimme a break
these analysts must be visionaries i don't see it
Well, that's his upside. The defense is not there yet. He's got the body, it looks like he's got a feel for spacing, and it looks like he's putting in the work. As far as the range shooting goes, that's coming around already, no?
its funny but it may come down to skinny legs
Not to mention the rest of Hunter's body. I think that it's worth the risk – he's got such a great feel for the game and dedication to his craft. Of the two players, James Young has a chance to be good, and RJ Hunter has a chance to be unique. I would choose unique, even at the risk of his body not being up to the task.
green is far superior for a contending team
Excellent point – but it's always been common for a team to keep a project on the roster even as they're all-in for contending.
tp for your breakdown--with the team assembled at the moment and with nets draft picks
so i watched nader over and over and his progression in school
he has a 7-1 wingspan that elite for his size,i believe he has a temperment to be a shooter and he has the ability to move laterally and is stronger-but he is stashed and he should have green light to shoot threes for a year,
a gifted shooter should have hit near 40% even first year-a truly gifted shooter is what the celts deserve
rj is as you say unique and should get another year or maybe it will be young with his stroke, he shot over 40% for red claws in his rookie year
my nephew broke all modern day scoring records at his college because he could shoot threes
just gifted they called him rain man-rain threes
i have seen, sam jones from the old days hit like 80 in a row bank shots and then they put up a sheet with a small hole pick up a racquet and serve some un godly number through that tiny hole
it was just wow and i was rollies massimino's shooter
back to green a gifted athlete he moves better than both young and rj ,jumps higher can slash
,shoot of dribble and on a vet minimum
since we got green i lost all interest in rj , i thought he could be like prince someday
i now have more confidence in rozier than rj and young
