  • Peace it's a board. We all will never agree.
I am chilled out.  That was just a stupid response and I said so.  Bentil last I had heard we were in the process of signing him.  Just looked it up and added that part because I wasn't aware he and Zeller had officially signed.  I'm still not sure if they were but seems like it.  I asked a question how waiving guaranteed contracts or rookie deals works.  Answering that question would have been good. We have more players under contract right now than we do roster spots heading into the regular season. No one has really clarified how that works.  We can make trades obviously but if we can't what happens there?

Just was trying to create more discussion in general and clarify some things..... Do we waive these players and still pay theme while they are under contact with the Red Claws as well if they clear waivers?  Is that how it works?

What if we want to then resign them to be on the active roster? Do they get their guaranteed money plus a new contract?

It's kind of confusing is all.  We have 17 players under contract.  Say we waive Bentil and Young and Bentil clears waivers.  Does he sign with the red claws while we are still paying him guaranteed money?  Is his contract even guaranteed or contingent on if he makes the roster?

2nd round picks usually don't get guaranteed deals but Jackson was signed to that I believe so now that is guaranteed.  Was Bentil's contract guaranteed?
Grow up. People like you make this board a place people leave. Name calling has no place anywhere. There are plenty of links that have the info you are looking for here. Remember we are Celtic fans the best fans in the world. Treat us  the way you want to be treated. Get your facts right before you post AS  well. Know back to looking for some intelligent threads with good facts and writing.

To the mods:

I noticed you deleted walker's post calling me an idiot (which is fine by me, it was rude and unnecessary, and thank you).  You also deleted jambr380's post calling me an idiot, which I know was 100% sarcastic (I even gave him a TP for it).  I don't mind if you did that because you wanted to keep the thread from getting out of control, but I hope he didn't get in trouble, because again, that was pure sarcasm, and nothing more

Thanks!

Feel free to start a new thread on who will make the final roster.  I'm too tired to edit this one.

Apologies to all for the personal attacks in the thread. They're uncalled for.

P.S. Here's your Nader update:

In short, it's speculated that the Celts had a handshake agreement that Nader would be a D-League stash, but his agent doesn't seem keen on that any longer.
