not to mention i think this whole 'holding out' thing is wildly childish and awful for the organization
but thats neither here nor there

Does anyone really know for sure that Doc is even doing that, ie 'holding out'?  Everything I have heard in the media says that Doc evaluates his situation after every season and then makes a decision.  How is that 'wildly childish' and 'awful'?
How is this hurting the organization?  So we might as well say that KG and PP are 'holding out' because we don't know what they are going to do either.  Does that equate to them hurting the organization?

Doc, PP, KG aren't Brett Favre.  They aren't waiting til the last minute and dumping their decision on the team.  It is only the end of may.  sheesh.

People impose storylines on sports all the time. It's how this thing works. Fans do it. Sportswriters do it. Teams do it. Players do it. Rallying against that is usually kind of silly, especially during the off season when everyone is starved for reasons to talk about the team.

But I agree with everyone who's pointed out that this is overblown.
At least a goldfish with a Lincoln Log on its back goin' across your floor to your sock drawer has a miraculous connotation to it.

That was just a suggestion, not a fact.  And, I think it is think, if it indeed what is happening, that I hope it is effective, and I and stand behind Doc.  Maybe he can do both, by using pp and kg as player coach/mentors.

Using what ever leverage you have is not childish...it is smart.  If the powers that be thought it was hurting the organization, Doc's future career in Boston would be brief.
