Jimmer might want the last shot but I would bet that Rondo could make him eat it with a block....
+1 Jimmer might want the last shot but he's on the bench because rondo torched him for the entire game

Here's a Grantland piece dissecting WHY Jimmer is such an ineffective NBA player: http://www.grantland.com/blog/the-triangle/post/_/id/15178/what-happened-to-you-jimmer-fredette

It amazes me anyone is still high on this kid. In college he scored a lot, but against the anemic defense/competition of the Mountain West Conference. He isn't a good ball handler. He can't create his own shot. He needs minutes/attempts to get going, so he can't just jump off the bench and down a 3 in the corner.

He doesn't even LOOK good when he's out on the floor! This isn't just a case of the stats not backing it up, he looks clumsy, awkward, uncoordinated, and slow.

I just dont see or understand the overwhelming love for a basketball player who can't be trusted with the clock running down to make a key shot or free throw. Can you actually claim Rondo is your best player when he is the last guy you want taking a shot to win any game? Give me a guy who wants the ball rather than having to give it away in the waning minutes. Give me Jimmer in that aspect when it counts the most.

Robert Horry is known as one of the better clutch shooters in nba history. He never made an all-nba team or even an all-star game, in fact he started less than half of the games he played in over his career. There's a lot to basketball beyond scoring, evn clutch scoring.

Speed gets you nowhere if you don't know how to use it. Besides I never thought Sam Cassell, Steve Nash, John Stockton, Mark Jackson, Derek Fisher & I can go on & on! None of thise guys were speedy just like Jimmer is, it's a about getting to a spot with precision & ethic over time by learning. Whatever scouting report that says Jimmer cant create his own shot & is a non athlete is ludicrous! He actually was a well recruited kid for football out of Highschool as a Wide Receiver. Bad athletes don't suceed at skill positions. Sone of this stuff you guys are saying is funny HAHA laughable.

Unless someone offered us Anthony Davis or Andre Drummond, I wouldn't trade Rondo for anyone in the upcoming draft. Giving up JJJ and taking on Jimmer on top of that? Ouch. You don't trade young stars for draft picks unless you have a specific player in mind and it's on draft night, or the deal is too good to pass up.

Are People Here In CB Blind? THE MAIN GOAL IN THIS TRADE IS TO GET THE TOP 5 PICK!!! +we will have 3 1rd picks, and it'll be a good draft variety. I promise you guys with this trade, we will stay in the league competition for years to come!

And when the Kings improve with Rondo, the lotto gods don't favor Celtics again, the team ends up with the 8th pick and a slow, small shooter for Rondo.

Agreed, if the Kings ever got someone like Rondo they would be probably just on the outside of the playoffs looking in with their young roster. Why do people automatically assume that it would be Rondo for a top 5 pick? It could very easily turn into a top 10-15. If it was a draft day trade then fine, but I don't feel that it's necessary to gamble right now.

This isn't a guy who dominated the ACC, Big East, or even the SEC, Jimmer dominated the Mountain West. He seems like another clone of Adam Morrison, only Jimmer doesn't play defense, he just shoots. Rondo can play great defense and can rebound which a lot of people here don't give him enough credit for. Can Jimmer end up as a rotation player? Probably, but he will never be the all star that you're passing him off as, adding the fact that you pretty much throw in JJJ on top of that makes this a no go.

This is like one of those fantasy trades that you propose to a friend, you think its a good idea but when you think it over and decide "hey, maybe I should hold off" it's too late...

Better deals I'm sure can be had for Rondo, I'm all for trading players on the roster provided it makes sense. This makes absolutely no sense what so ever.
