Your math wasn't wrong? Do you really want to go over this again? I think this must be what I got banned for earlier. Because all I did was create a post trying to teach you how to multiply, and then I was banned with no explanation (still none to this day).

But yes, your math was very wrong.

Teach me maths? Oh wow. You're so full of yourself...lol.

Yes, my math wasn't wrong...my choice of words was. I don't want to drag another poster in this....but fairweatherfan can attest to my "wrong math".

Your math was that 10^40 divided by 10^8 is 5.  That is wrong.

I'm done. Sorry Mods, I won't post again in this thread.

That wasn't it. Twisting my post to make yourself sound right. Whatever.

This is what you said, quoted:

"The article that you posted last night, mentions that one would need 10^42 joules of energy just to manipulate the 11th dimension...to give you an idea, 1 tonne of TNT explosion yields 10^8 joules of energy...so, you have to find a source which yields more than 5 times that amount energy."

Don't accuse me of twisting your post when I'm very clearly doing no such thing.

I'm leaving the house now. Or else I won't be able to get off this site, which is soooooo addicting. Goodnight.

You know when Danny acquired Ray from Seattle, I hated the trade.

Now we have Delonte and Green back.  Plus we have the Clips first round pick.

Plus we won an NBA championship and are serious contenders this year.

I'd say that's pretty good trading.

Who knows?  Green and that pick could form the core with Rondo  for multiple championships.  Krstic could be their key backup center for almost a decade.  We won't have the full tally on this trade for years and years.

We'll see.  I think it's got a long way to go before ranking up there in Celtics history.  I mean, the competition you're looking at is:

* Red trades for the draft rights to Bill Russell

* Red trades for Robert Parish and the draft rights to Kevin McHale

* Danny trades for Ray Allen

* Danny trades for Kevin Garnett

This trade, no matter how it works out, isn't even in the same universe as any of those deals.  (Well, assuming Jeff Green doesn't turn into a first ballot Hall of Famer.)

Youdon't know that Danny won't hit a home run with that pick too

Imagine your an OKC fan and your team trades 40% of its starting line-up and in return gets a 5'9 bench shooting guard and a 6'10 center coming off major knee reconstructive surgery and now has a sprained MCL and is unavailable for 3 weeks. Oh yeah to boot you give up a top 10 protected 1st round pick in 2012. Exactly! Brilliant move DA.

Way to go DA way to go.  Foresight man!

OKC fans are thrilled to be getting Perk and they knew Green was awkwardly out of position.  Their end doesn't have to be a total bust for the C's side to be a huge franchise boost.
Thrilled?  I don't know about that.  A big guy on two injured knees.  I wouldn't like my chances

Their local newspaper had an online poll running 85% in favor of the trade.

This team got more healthier, got rid of the injured players for healthy ones? That alone is a huge upside and also have the huge the possibility that we can have better talent with whoever signs for the 3 remaining roster spots than the previous occupiers of those spots. Bright future indeed.

Really sad that every post here that somewhat exudes positivity is immediately put down by the negativity brigade ::)

I haven't read all the posts on this thread but Scoob you maybe right this might be "one" of the best trades in Celtic History.

I would rank it maybe sixth.

            1. Bill Russell Trade.

            2. Robert Parish/Kevin McHale Trade.

            3. Gerald Henderson for Len Bias Trade.

            4. Rick Robey for Dennis Johnson Trade.

            5. Cornbread Maxwell for Bill Walton Trade.

            6. Kendrick Perkins for Jeff Green Trade.

I'm sure there are others? But depending how Krstic pans out the trade will move into a higher echelon? Time will tell?
Do like what I see. It's been a while that anyone has had Six
Offensive Rebounds for this team.

As to the signing of Troy Murphy I am enthusiastic about him coming to the C's. He can rebound, add a healthy Body and
Shoot Three's. His defense needs work but with the players on
Boston his weakness' will be covered. I would prefer T.J. Ford
instead of Bibby as I feel that Bibby has lost allot in the last couple of years and Ford has been riding the bench and not wearing down like Bibby. Ford had a conflict with Jim O'Brian??? No Surprise. Nice pick up for us! And finally I would add Leon Powe for the 15th player. Great Hustle, Great Team Player and Great Person in the community! The man is a winner and the type of player and person that "Red" and hopefully "Danny" will want on the team!!!

  • You know my methods, Watson.
Wasn't trading Montross part of what got us the pick for Antoine Walker?

Whatever your feelings are about 'Toine, you'd have to admit that was a pretty good deal...

To all the people saying it'll be a good trade "if we win a championship:" Hindsight is 20/20.

It's not very intuitive to grade a trade after you see how things turn out. GMs don't have the benefit to look into the future.

That said, I think this trade was an amazing one for the Celtics.

The Cs required a back-up for Paul Pierce, and they got one good enough to start at SF today. They got a first round pick, Paul Pierce's future replacement, and a serviceable backup for Shaq and JO.
