Haven't read the other posts yet.  IMO too risky with only Delonte at the point backing up.  That would mean an injury to either Rondo or Delonte would be devastating, unless Jeff Green can bring the ball over half court with relative ease......

Rondo can't play 48 minutes every game.....  especially with all the playoff games in his recent history...

But again, if you're Danny Ainge, what do you pitch Mike Bibby?

Hey Mike, you should come to Boston.  It's a great fit for you.  Our benches are very comfortable.  You'll really like it there as you watch Rondo play 40+ mpg in the playoffs.  What's that Mike?  Oh yeah, you'll get those 8 mpg...well, that is unless Doc wants to go with Delonte instead.  But there's always that shot that one of them goes down...

I know, it'd be nice if Bibby or Ford did that.  But I don't know why they would when they could play a much bigger role in Miami.

I'm not sure Miami is interested in them. Ford is a horrible fit there due to his lack of shooting ability and ball-dominant ways. Bibby's cooked except for his shooting. I'd love to see them starting him over Chalmers.

But let's say Miami signs one of them. The other would still need a job and Miami would probably cut one of House/Arroyo - another PG would become available. In how many playoff teams can they hope to get regular minutes? I can only think of Memphis (Jason Williams and Greivis Vasquez backing up Conley). Or New York (they have Douglas, plus Roger Mason and Anthony Carter), I think they'd welcome Ford. But most probably those teams would also release one of their current PGs.

In any case there are other guys available, besides those two, that would be safer 3rd stringers than Bradley. Veterans like Jannero Pargo or D-Leaguers like Orien Greene (that one) or Mustapha Shakur. They're more apt than Bradley to handle those minutes if needed to be.

Now, all the talk is about signing 3 buyouts.  Ummm... that means only 1 of them make the playoff roster.

No. Roster size rules don’t change for the playoffs. Same rules as the regular season. The roster must have 13, 14, or 15 players at all times. No more than 12 can dress for any game, and that decsion can come as late as an hour before game time.

Right, I understood that, sorry for being unclear.  But what veteran wants to make the 15 man roster, but not dress for the games in the playoffs is what I meant?
one that wants a ring XD
Andy Bernard doesnt lose constests. He wins them, or he quits them because they're unfair.

I don't think we need TJ Ford or Mike Bibby (although I wouldn't say no to them), but given West's injury history and Rondo's aggressive style, it is really risky to have only two NBA caliber PGs on the team (Bradley cannot see the floor in the playoffs if they want to win).  So, with 3 open roster spots, I think one of them needs to be filled with someone else who can handle the point in case of emergency.
