I originally was saying Bruce Bowen, but I love the versatility of Walter Herrmann. He big enough and active enough to get rebounds and play pesky long arm defense, but he's got a nice shooting touch from behind the arc. I just hope Detroit hasn't ruined his nba experience and forced him back to Argentina or Euro leagues.

My other signings that I'd make would be...

Resign Powe for 1 year to prove his knee hasn't ruined him.
Resign Marbury for more than the minimum, but more more than 2 over 2yrs
Resign BBD for 3-4 mil over 3 years(or wait for the first team to offer him something similar then match-I dont feel he's worth 5-6 yet)
Resign Mikki Moore for vet min. He's not the greatest backup, but he can play the 4 or 5 and can be our dependable 4/5th string big man.
TRADE Tony Allen for a better shooting versatile SG/SF like Thabo Sefolosha or packaged with Scal for Rasual Butler and Devin Brown

Mikki Moore????

If not I'd be interested in Bogans or Q Ross.

If I remember correctly, Ross will sign with Memphis.

Barnes’ agent, Aaron Goodwin, told him that Dallas, Cleveland, Orlando and the Lakers (pre-Artest) were the first teams showing interest in him but nothing about the Suns. The silence probably has more to do with Jared Dudley’s emergence and hopes of re-signing Hill than anything about Barnes I am a big Matt Barnes fan. He is a very aggressive player, a solid defender and has a nice outside shot. He could be a good fit off of the Orlando bench. He could even start at SF if Rashard Lewis stays at PF. Barnes received the most minutes of his entire career last year and had his best statistical season. He averaged 10.2 PPG, 5.5 RPG, and 2.8 APG in 77 games (40 starts) last season. Barnes is just 29 years old. He was a big part of the Golden State team that upset the then defending champion Dallas Mavericks in the 2007 playoffs. He averaged 11.1 PPG, 5.7 RPG and 2.4 APG against Dallas and the Utah Jazz during the Warriors’ run. It’d be nice to sign Barnes and one or two Free Agent PFs.

Once you are labeled 'the best' you want to stay up there, and you can't do it by loafing around.

I don't think Barnes is going to Dallas because they are way over the cap, and they are chasing Marion to start at the 3, and want to resign Bass.  Cleveland is more desperate to get a 4 at this point not to say they won't offer Barnes anything more than we will.  Orlando is looking for a 4 as well, but would take a 3 and play Lewis at the 4 like they did last year. I think we end up with 1 of the following 3 guys, and I believe Danny will go after them in this order.

1) Anthony Parker
2) Dahntay Jones
3) Matt Barnes

I want Barnes and even would have preferred him from the beginning over Hill.  He's looking for a big pay day and would play with a lot of effort. I recall that when he played for GSW during the playoffs against Dallas.  he was a big reason GSW beat Dallas that year.
