id actually prefer barnes to hill....hill is more consistent and a solid vet presence..but barnes brings more energy and less risk of age kickin in

Biggest need with a backup 3 is defending LeBron and other top level SF's so Pierce doesn't have to run himself ragged again.

And how about Darius Miles again? He has a full season behind him and was somewhat productive for us in the preseason. He can defend the 3 and 4, which is exactly what we need.

I just hope they can get something done quickly with another wing like Parker, Wafer, Barnes, Bogans, etc. I'm sure Danny has a priority list, and he said he wants to get all signings done quickly, incl. Big Baby.

With his record, the odds are he never plays healthy again in his career.  If the Knicks want to spend $10 million on him, therefore, I don't really mind.  But we do need someone else.

Why not sign and trade for Hill from PHX? If not I'd be interested in Bogans or Q Ross. I want D first in this back-up -- Bogans is the better shooter. I have no idea why Barnes is going to help this team. Parker is definitely losing a step but for the right price I suppose he's a decent option. Just not Barnes. The guy averaged 10 points playing for PHX which equates to about 6 anywhere else and his D is highly overrated.
