id actually prefer barnes to hill....hill is more consistent and a solid vet presence..but barnes brings more energy and less risk of age kickin in

Biggest need with a backup 3 is defending LeBron and other top level SF's so Pierce doesn't have to run himself ragged again.

the only thing marbury did poorly was shoot. that will come back. wish we could get him to sign.

Don't you worry. No team is interested in him, so I guess he will be back soon.

And how about Darius Miles again? He has a full season behind him and was somewhat productive for us in the preseason. He can defend the 3 and 4, which is exactly what we need.

Let me see, we're not signing Big Baby or Leon, but debating over which of these scrubs or senior citizens to sign?
This off-season is looking worse than last years. I'm not liking the direction Danny is going. You just don't blow up a championship team for no good reason.

Danny might be the first GM in nba history to blow up a team and still return all 5 starters...
Oh God, two people who know what i'm talking about.
Yeah, signing Wallace was great, but that brings our bench up to 2! guys who can hold their own.
Sure, i love guys like Scal and TA (and even Walker), but you need at least 4 or 5 core bench players.  At least if we kept Powe we'd have another potential core player.
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

I guess we can scratch Hill off the list. Link:

New York offered Hill the option of a one-year, $5 million contract or a three-year, $10 million deal, according to an NBA source. Hill, 36, might not expect the same offer from the Suns, but the swingman said last week that he wanted to be "fairly compensated" after concluding a two-year, $3.8 million contract for the Suns.

He wants to be compensated? Then I guess money is a big concern for him, more than anything. And we would basically offer him the same contract as the Suns two years ago.

I just hope they can get something done quickly with another wing like Parker, Wafer, Barnes, Bogans, etc. I'm sure Danny has a priority list, and he said he wants to get all signings done quickly, incl. Big Baby.

With his record, the odds are he never plays healthy again in his career.  If the Knicks want to spend $10 million on him, therefore, I don't really mind.  But we do need someone else.

Anthony Parker

The C's are hopefully putting the full-court press on him right now...he is by far the best fit remaining.

Why not sign and trade for Hill from PHX? If not I'd be interested in Bogans or Q Ross. I want D first in this back-up -- Bogans is the better shooter. I have no idea why Barnes is going to help this team. Parker is definitely losing a step but for the right price I suppose he's a decent option. Just not Barnes. The guy averaged 10 points playing for PHX which equates to about 6 anywhere else and his D is highly overrated.

Said who?

If not I'd be interested in Bogans or Q Ross.

If I remember correctly, Ross will sign with Memphis.
