You know with all the playoff stuff, I forgot that the Draft and Free Agency are literally coming up too.

Siakam agrees with the Pacers, 4 years/189.5M. Good deal and move.

I am curious to see what else IND does. Despite the sweep I thought Indiana and especially their offense was the most dangerous/toughest team we faced in the playoffs. Indiana is rising and if they could somehow add a 3rd star alongside Siakam/Haliburton (or even just another solid starter or legit 6th man) then they'll be a legit threat in the East along with Boston.

Pretty good money if you can get it for Williams.

What's taking them so long to announce JJ Reddick? Feels like it's been reported for a whole month now

Shams & Woj had a cold-reporting war about that NCAA guy in the meantime:

Yeah and the irony is it seems like Woj is the one that got played if you believe Hurley too. Apparently he used that Woj reporting to leverage the Lakers into interviewing him and from that, he gained some more fame and might have also added some more leverage in UCONN extension talks if that occurs.

I just don't get how a massive offer isn't even a top 5 salary.  Lakers had to be in excess of 15 million to get Hurley (just as any nba team would).  I said it at the time and I still think it'd be funny if Dan Gilbert opened the checkbook for Hurley and got him to Cleveland (guess Detroit is open now also and they have a yound team that could use a coach like Hurley).
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

Lakers hire podcaster... errr former basketball player JJ Reddick as head coach officially.

I'm just gonna say it right now. It's not gonna work. Reddick is a smart man/analyst and I know he gets along with Lebron but he's not experienced and also, when things go even a little south he strikes me as someone who would immediately blame everyone but himself sort of like Doc. He's one of those guys who thinks he's smarter than everyone. That kind of personality doesn't always mesh well in locker rooms.

Good. Hopefully that means Sam Cassell is sticking around!  :)

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Sounds like it?s a straight up player for player deal.  You don?t see to many plain old fashioned need for need deals.  Longer term nice deal for the Bulls and shorter term dirt dog who will fit in nicely with the Thunder.

I like the deal for the Thunder. Especially if it means they're gonna start cashing in their picks and go all in in the next couple of seasons, they're a fun team
