The Celtics have held Dallas to under 100 points for all 3 finals games so far. It would be nice to get that 4th!

I was wondering when the last time a team had been held under 100 points during an NBA finals but couldn?t find anything.

I don?t remember that happening recently, but I?m sure it?s happened before during eras when 100 points were less common. The past few seasons teams have been averaging well over 100 points/game during the regular season so this just shows how good the Celtics defense has been this postseason.

Grant Williams said it "sucked" not getting a tribute video with the Celtics like who does he think he is lol.

Guy shot us out of games and did all these stupid things to Mitchell and Butler and they had the last laugh.
Didn't Brogdon and Rob get one (or at least offered one). Seems odd you'd give one to Brogdon but not Grant.

I didn't even know Brogdon had one but to their defense, he did win 6MOTY with us lol

In 14, Spurs held Heat under 100 in all 5 games.

In 15, the Cavs only scored 100 in game 1 because it went to OT, and that was only game scoring 100.

Those were the last times, though Heat did only hit 100 once last year.

What was the response from Mavs players after last night's game? I've seen a number of quotes from the Celtics but nothing from the Mavs. Did anyone catch the postgame pressers? Did they look deflated or were they focused on proving themselves in game 4?

Idk but what I found interesting was apparently they didn't practice today. It was only watching film. A part of me wonders if this is because for a guy like Doncic who gets gassed by the 2nd half, only having one day off between games probably affects things. Still a bit odd.

Yeah, I imagine the rest of them could still practice. You don't call off practice just because one guy is worn out.

I wonder if they are all mentally fatigued lol. C's are just wearing them down. Probably doesn't hurt to watch film to determine fixes and identify weaknesses but if you can't execute or hit shots then it won't really matter. And also I'm pretty sure the C's watch film too even before/after practice and shootarounds

Well he's injured, I doubt he would be practicing one way or another, unless he's been practicing in the past week anwyays?

Porzingis was out there during the Celtics practice. It doesn't mean you have to go 100%, but getting some shots up and going through some sets is always good.

TP, thanks, your search skills are better than mine.

Not surprised that the Spurs were responsible for one of these.

That is really surprising.  Do they really think Monty Williams is the problem with the team?  Is he really that bad of a coach?

Quote
The decision to fire Williams was made at the ownership level, sources told Wojnarowski.

New team president Trajan Langdon will move to make his own coaching hire now.

I wonder if it really was at the ownership level or if the new GM (Langdon) wanted him out.  I think it is going to be harder then they think to bring in a good coach to work with this team.

Maybe the Lakers will hire Monty Williams.

The tanking rules also really ended up screwing them lol. They've been stuck with a #5 pick instead of likely #1 if it weren't for those rules. Otherwise they could in theory be sitting pretty with Wemby and others.
