hot takes are great for getting people to energetically agree with you or disagree with you.

they're annoying to respond to if what you want is to actually talk about ideas and maybe learn something, have your mind changed, etc.

hot takes are for twitter and sports talk radio.

(and for the game thread lol)

This thread reminds me of why I don't post here as often as I used to. A bunch of vapid hot takes that are more concerned with attacking the character of players/coaches/gms rather that distract from the actual problem with the team. No better than reddit tbh.

I don’t know why people get bothered by “ hot takes”. I always look at forums as people just talking out loud. Spitballing ideas. EVERYONE has been guilty of what you’re saying.
One thing you can always count on in forums even more than what you’re saying is that people will accuse others of overreacting to present themselves as calm and sensible. It’s an eye roller.
Can you maybe answer my question of why the Celtics never brought a man to the foul line to receive a pass to beat Miami zone?.

I don't have an answer for you, but my guess is if your question made it to Brad he'd have one on the spot.

It's frustrating when you try to address a hot take and just get attacked with another one too.

I just realized I don’t think I understand what a “ hot take” is exactly. Ha. (Laughing at myself)

An argument that is all style (if you can even call it that) but lacking any real substance.

Just because you shout something or state it with definitiveness doesn't make it fact

You may be right. It has been driving me crazy ever since. Also that no Boston media person even asked him that question. I’ve never seen this question asked of him. A chance to defend our lead in titles vs the Lakers. That game and the final one where challenges weren’t used and time out never called to take a SHOT at stopping the bleeding. I’ve been heartbroken more by losses but this was the most confusing way of losing I’ve experienced as a Celtics fan and I’ve been searching for answers ever since.

Yeah...never understand people that get upset with fans being fans. They won’t answer your question, there is no answer.

Meanwhile in Portland Former Boston Bench Player goes for 19 pts and 19 board. Whiles last year's backup all wordl PG gets another DNP.

Brad is strange with who he plays. I miss AB Roxier Crowder and KO. And  Morris alot.

With essentially the same team, we nearly got to the finals last year. Clearly, the roster isn't playing anywhere near to its capability. No one can make the case that we have an Aaron Gordon sized hole in the roster and acquiring him will fix many ills. Something else is wrong with this team.

Something isn't working in the locker room. The rumors about Thompson the last few days may be true, but it seems to me it would require more than that to get things as far off the track as they are. CBS frustrates me at times also, but fact is he's a good coach and if the Celts fired him, he'd have a new head coach job by next season if he wanted it.

Miaimi is in the same boat. They have largely the same team as last year's finals team back, and even with Butler back healthy, are stuck at .500. Did Spoelstra forget how to coach, too?

Your question assumes facts not established.
