Anyway, being "better than Rozier" is just a little bit too easy at this point.

This is not off topic:

Last night against the Heat.

Wannamaker, Rozier and Smart combined for 5 for 11 attempts.

How perfect is that? Damage control city.

Tatum, Horford, Hayward, Irving combined for 29 for 62 attempts.

Perfection achieved, Celtics win game...massive ball distribution. Minimal stand watch Irving iso. Just a good old game of good shooters taking all the shots and everyone else helping them.

Commence "Celtics are better without Morris" posts to supplement the
"Celtics are better with Wannamaker" posts...which should lead to the "The Celtics are better when Rozier doesn't shoot and are way better when Morris sits and ultimately are better when...

Irving, Horford, Tatum and Hayward take all the shots and score all the points because that is what they are paid a combined $95M to do.

With the above accomplished, the bench guys and role players, whomever they are,  can just get the heck outta their way.

Wanamaker or Wanataker, that is the question?
"The joy of the balling under the rims."

So nice to see Wanamaker getting some time in the second half tonight with no Rozier.

9 points, 4 of 5 from the field, 2 rebounds, and 3 assists in 17 minutes.

So much better than Rozier.

Lets put it this way. as a talent, Rozier is a better player, but wannamaker plays within the team and plays his role better. That is the difference between the two.

when Rozier is out there he looks to score, often times turning into a black hole and ignoring other guys. Trying to do too much.

Wannamaker realizes he isnt the primary option and keeps the ball moving.

Agree 100% with this.  Wanamaker knows his role and plays within himself, allowing our better players - especially Hayward and Brown, both of whom should have the ball more than Rozier - to operate more effectively.

I've little doubt Brad is going to feed Rozier minutes in the playoffs over Wanamaker, but I hope that Rozier's leash is short.  Really short.

Rozier can jump higher. That's it.

Rozier just needs to stop getting minutes at this point. He’s a better overall talent than Wanamaker but BW fits the team better.

Btw, Mook has been playing better and more contained since going to the bench imo. Rozier’s just been frustrating

Neither of these things is true.

Rozier can't shoot. Wanamaker can. That's a talent.

Morris is awful. Ball hog and his shooting has gone south.

Echoing another poster Wannamaker plays more in control and within himself.

Wanamaker is a better shooter and passer. A more skilled player.

I can buy that it's possible Wanamaker is a better player for what we need out of our backup PG, but he's not actually a better player (irrespective of role) than Rozier.

That said, I have been wishing for a veteran backup PG upgrade for this team for going on three years now.  Terry sucks in that role because he doesn't like that role and thinks it's beneath him.

Wait. You’re telling me, in a vacuum, you’d take Wanamaker over Rozier? You’d rather have Wanamaker as the best player on your team than Rozier?

LOL If either of these guys is the "best player on your team" you are in trouble.

Wanamaker is a better player than Rozier. Better shooter and a better passer. 47% shooting vs 38% shooting. Terry can jump higher. That's it.
