The Nets already had a trash roster.  Turning a 21 win team into a 17 win team might do  little to improve the pick going to the Celtics while a draft pick can be a wildcard that helps turn the team into a 30 win team.

Maybe this clears up playing time in the front court so they can overpay a restricted free agent like Sullinger.

Nets is where I was thinking Sully will land.....he is perfect fit......lots to eat in the BIG Apple

Green glasses here: Enhances value of future Brooklyn picks, maybe we can work out a deal to get Cousins after all!!
There's a chance those future Brooklyn 1sts will never be more valuable than they are right now.

Brooklyn still has 50+ mil in cap space to surround Brook lopez with.   Not saying they are signing Durant, but they can likely add some Brandon Bass-level players and maybe a 2nd tier star like Conley.

This is good news! Hopefully they draft a project that will play sparingly the next two years!

Brook Lopez next hopefully.

Well they are clearing cap space but otherwise good pick up for mr bird.  I can't see free agents wanting to go to nets so that draft pick is looking green!
