They want Avery Bradley. Right when the trade happened I said we should trade with them to get Turner.
IDK why I am angry right now. This Chad ford thing is news I wanted t hear, maybe cuz I jumped on it before most and I see people trying to trade for Kaminsky? Wow.
Next years draft class is loaded with 3's. Lets get Turner and draft Upshaw later in the round. Thats a good haul for us and we will be ready for next years draft.
Next year is also loaded with Centers.
This years draft was also "loaded with centers" then it turned out that there were 2 elite centers going in the top 2, a nutcase and a 1 dimensional defense only athlete. Only one of which could we draft at our slot (him being the nutcase).
I hate when people look to drafts this far ahead, I know there is one poster who ends just about all his posts with "then next year take Brandon Ingram" We have no idea how next year will shape up. will we make the playoffs? will we suck? will the nets suck? will these hyped wings live up to the hype? will they all declare for the draft? will there be injury issues?
Maybe Ingram will tear an ACL maybe he will stay in college maybe he will go in the top 3 and we wont get him, maybe he will get to college and become Lebryan Nash or Cliff Alexander.
I mean when we moved on from the big 3 there were people saying "just get Wiggins next year, then Okafor after that, then rebuild around Rondo Wiggins Green Sully/KO Okafor."

That poster would be me, but I am sure you already knew that. I also use to end my posts with "next year get Karl Towns" I also liked to keep CB updated with Towns' progression and made many threads for that. You are more than free to pm me. Actually a few people this time last year pm'ed me about Karl Towns . He was ranked 17 on both draft express and not expected to leave until his sop year on nbadraft.net. I exchanged videos with them and some of my predictions.

So Towns has the ability(a lot like D Cousins, but probably more) to play power forward...imo. He really does have such a unique set of skills for a player his size and length (7'' 7'4'' wingspan, 9'5'' standing reach)
I think playing at Kentucky this year is gonna get him super prepared for playing in the NBA. I have to admit I wish he was more athletic, but he is still very young and imo is still more capable than many "centers" in the league today.
What are your thoughts?
Many are talking about Okafor but he just seems like a Carlos Boozer type.
Karl was just one of my favorite prospects, Gobert was another. Both were very longs shots. At the time Myles Turner was the heavily ranked #1 prospect in the class . None of the drafting sites had a lot on Karl, maybe you remember. He was the Gatorade player of the year, but that means little to nothing.
The drafting process is part science and part gut and I love it. Its maybe my favorite part of basketball. Even today I am thinking of starting a draft site with ALL info on prospects. Something much like draft express but with updated measurements logged in quicker(some players have none at all, but a search will find them) and then a mix of nbadraft.net with all the videos right there so ppl don't have to search. Also I'd like to have another mock draft like the class of 2017 and in a few months the class 2018. Doing a mock draft is hard enough, but doing 2 more classes is very hard and impossible to get correct because kids grow/take a step in their game/get exposure they did not get before. But some kids you can tell: like Dennis Smith Jr in the 2017 draft.
And yes I have high hopes for Ingram. He moves super quick for his length and has great handles. For his height and length he has a great skill set, reminds me of a mix between Durant, Giannis. You also should know that Ben Simmons and Skal are both a year older than him, he is almost a year too young for his class.
Anyway I hope we cleared all that up. I'm not claiming to be an expert but I love the draft process and the hunt for prospects.
BTW I love Myles Turner and Upshaw for realistic picks. Honestly, feel free to pm me and we can talk about Turner or Upshaw.
