I was pretty high on murphy prior to us picking him up so its been odd.  I'm very impressed w/ krstic's game and so far murphy hasn't show much.  He is not playing like he's injured, seems like his reaction time is way off.  Probably has a lot to do with not playing in nj.
I still expect better play from him, he's always shown good character imo so hopefully he can give us something this year and look good enough to be a vet big off the bench next year.

But where are the minutes going to come from?  Once Shaq's healthy, there aren't going to be any minutes at the 5 spot.

And then the 4 spot is even worse.  Even if Doc is going to scale Garnett's minutes back, BBD is going to get most of the rest of the minutes.  And any minutes he doesn't get will likely going to Jeff Green, who is going to have to play some 4, if we want him to play more than the 10-15 mpg available at the 3 spot behind Pierce.

When our team is healthy he's the last big off the bench.
shaq, krstic, jermaine  ::)
kg, davis, green

If he was playing on all cylinders looking like he did in indy I could see him getting minutes at 3rd string pf. Or maybe 2nd depending on matchups.  If he was hitting the 3's he makes a tough matchup for most bigs.  Luckily we don't need murphy shooting 3's but if the rest of his game looks good and the shots come within flow of game its a plus.  My hope is that he returns to indy form and we can get him on the cheap if the oneal(s) retire, davis goes via fa etc.

But are there really going to be minutes at 3rd string PF?  Maybe in the last 15 games or so.  But in the playoffs, I could see him on the inactive list.
