I know that this trade, is fanciful and not likely, but it could happen if the 76ers have lost faith in Evan Turner? This trade can take place on December 15th and is cleared on RealGM' Trade Checker.

To Philadelphia:   Jermaine O’Neil (C)        ($ 5.8m/2 yrs.)
                   Marquis Daniels (G/F)      ($ 2.3m/1 yr.)
                   Nate Robinson (G)          ($ 4.2m/2 yrs.)

To Boston:         Andres Nocioci (F)         ($ 6.8m/2 yrs.)
                   Evan Turner* (G)           ($ 4.1m/2 yrs)

       -----------------------------------------------

                  BOSTON CELTICS

F- Paul Pierce - Andres Nocioci - Stephane Lasme+
F- Kevin Garnett - Glen Davis - Luke Harangody**
C- (Kendrick Perkins) - Shaquille O'Neal+ - Semih Erden
G- Rajon Rondo - Delonte West+ - Avery Bradley*
G- Ray Allen - Evan Turner* -
         Playtoff Signing: Rasheed Wallace (F/C)

Why for Celtics: Gives the C's a Large back up for Pierce and
the eventual replacement for Ray Allen. I believe that the 76ers would be willing to trade Turner is because they seem to
have doubt that he will get up to speed in the NBA?

Why for 76ers: This give them a legitimate Center and solid back ups for TYoung and JHoliday. We may have to give them a Draft choice or two?

   + Free Agent Signing.
   * 1st Round Draft Choice.
  ** 2nd Round Draft Choice.

This not working, I would suggest a trade for James Posey
for Marquis Daniels and Jermaine O'Neal? I think the Pacers would go for this to get rid of Posey's large contract and it would fit with Ainge' two year salary dump plan?

1. We aren't getting Evan Turner
2. The Sixers aren't going to lose faith in a rookie in his first year.
3. We aren't getting Evan Turner
4. The Sixers would never trade a rookie with a ton of potential in the division.
5. We aren't getting Evan Turner.

Talk about a ridiculous post. One of the most ridiculous ones I have ever seen on these forums.

It's like Lakers getting Pau Gasol. Great for Sixers but not for us. Already solid formidable 6-10 for us. The only way that's going to be broken up is if its a huge huge upside, not just so you can put a filler on SF.

Nothing about that deal is great for the Sixers. Jesus I love the Celtics too but you people need to lay off the Kool-aid.

Evan Turner is going to be a stud in this league for years to come.
I have no idea why Philly would want those 3.

I also don't see how that trade helps us win this year, which is goal #2.

The bucks have some attractive candidates, but they're deep at the 4 too. we'd have to find something they want.

another option -- afflalo?

Afflalo is one of my favorite young role players in the league, but I don't think he is available.  I think he is actually the biggest reason JR Smith could be had.

indeed. but the nuggets are in major need of size. baby or semih could be more interesting to them than other teams.

bucks have no use for baby --  mbah a moute, ilyasova, gooden, brockman, gallon, etc etc....

Luc is more of a 3 than a 4. Ilyasova is nice, but he lacks strength. Gooden is average and not better than Baby. Brockman is marginal. And Gallon will probably be NBDL bound.

I think the Bucks have much more use for Davis than they do for Delfino with Redd, Maggette, Douglas-Roberts, Salmons, and Luc.

I agree that there could be a fit there, particularly if some guys don't step up, or some injuries happen.  But they are nowhere near desperate enough to overpay with a quality player AND a first round pick.  Lets remember, Davis is a FA after this season, so it would be a rental.

If goal number two is to win this year...Then I am awfully confused on what goal number 1 is...

I wonder if Phily might consider letting go of Thaddeus Young later in the year + how much they'd be asking for in return.

I think its very unlikely.  I think he is a guy they want to build around, along with Turner and Holliday.

I think they're going to move Young, possibly in an attempt to move Brand too. Young is an okay player without a position, much like Travis Outlaw (but not as good IMO), or even Glen Davis.
Yeah, I am thinking the Sixers move Young too. Not right now but a little further down the road. Possibly mid-season or next summer.

I don't think he's part of their long term future. He hasn't solidified a role for himself + I think the front office has lost a lot of faith in Young due to his lack of development / progress since his rookie year.

The Sixers asking price is still too high -- unless you are a big believer in Young's potential -- but that might waver some after another disappointing season.

I'm not sure but I think the Bucks already waived Tiny Gallon.

Yeah, I guess it could make sense for them to move him as part of a deal to get rid of Brand...but I don't think they have soured on him that much...and of course I certainly don't think he will be used to dump a guy like Nocioni whose contract isn't really that bad.

Correct.  I saw it on the wire a few days ago.

objectively speaking, the bucks just paid gooden substantial $$ to be their starter, and they like ilyasova a great deal. those guys are getting the bulk of their minutes there, and baby is not changing that. mbah a moute does play minutes at the 4 against stretch guys. they like brockman -- he's a tough rebounder.

point is -- baby would be more valuable in a deal to a team with more of a need up front. i mentioned denver, but there are others, of course...

Yeah, Tiny Gallon was waived the other day.
