Other thing we are forgetting is that there are not alot of team looking to spend right now.

This is no a good time to be an NBA FA unless you are a star.

That's where the value will come in, $8 - $10 million dollar players are now in MLE range (we have an MLE) and $9 million dollar players are for sale (we have an expiring contracts to offer that equal $8.5 million).

Give Danny the green light!
But the cost of missing on a 10 million per year player could cripple any future flexibility for the rest of the Big 3's run. This will be a big off season, I think Danny will take bigger risks by committing more money/years. But I'm not sure who. The market for FAs and trades is too big this year for me to get a real feel for it.

We have to go all in for a championship campaign in 2010. We can do it without hurting our future flexibility. We have to keep Rondo and Perkins for the future. By 2013, it will be Rondo, Perkins and 10 new Celtics. Spend the money now and rebuild later.

It's probably already been said, but never trust Massarotti on *anything* related to the Celtics, especially the Collective Bargaining Agreement.  He's been wrong repeatedly this year about the Celtic's cap situation.
