Earth to Celtic fans:

After this series and Brad's inept philosophy broadcasted all over the world and season long struggle..good luck landing any free agent worth anything.

Thinking this destination is desirable is completely delusional now.

No one cares about free agency if you’re a Celtics fan at this point. It’s all about who we can obtain in trades.

And you think these players have high value now?  50 cents on the dollar.

And I hope they don't read this board either :)

Salary gurus - can we sign Terry to an offer sheet, given we can match all offers, and use him as a trade chip for AD to help salaries match up... saving us from sending Marcus Smart?

he would count at 100% incoming trade value and only 50% outgoing.

not impossible, but not simple

The easiest way to work something would be a three way deal

Terry to team A for 10 mill per season

a salary from team A for 5 million plus other celtics players to Pelicans

Davis to Boston

This would be a dream come true.

However they have this thing called game-film, and all you need to do is watch it, and you'll realize Rozier has no idea who he is as a basketball player. Terry should have been traded early in the season for whatever we could get. Keeping Terry has actually reduced his overall value.

I agree, but if Fultz can net something in return, I am confident that Rozier can. I mean at least terry has had a good 20 game run in the nba and people can justify this seasons suckitude as just because he went back to bench.

Terry Rozier on what he wants in free agency: “I’m looking forward to a family, someone that greets me like a family and is gonna invest in me all the way. Other than that I’m gonna go from there.”

His thoughts on the Celtics, who will have option to match offers: “No comment.”

Subtle dig at Ainge? There was some talk on Twitter that the mystery player Ainge shopped at the deadline was Rozier.

If Ainge didn't aggressively shop Rozier at the deadline, he wasn't doing his job.

It was painfully obvious all year that he was unhappy and that he was one of the biggest components of the bad atmosphere in the locker room.

Rozier is probably mad they extended Marcus and didn't come close to an offer he felt was his value in the same off season. Life as a RFA for a non-max guy....

Rozier is not coming back. And Boston does not want him back either.

A protected first from the Suns could have easily been two 2nd round picks. If it had heavy protections how likely are the Suns to not suck enough to convey it?

100% agree. I think Ainge should've moved him in the offseason and it was a mistake that he didn't.

It's very annoying when you think how far his value has dropped. We could have likely easily gotten a DJ Augustin or something for him.

Anything resembling a decent back-up PG please Danny :(

They didn't even extend Marcus, they re-signed him as a RFA. Danny hasn't extended a rookie deal since Rondo

That said, I can 100% see Rozier taking that as a dig against him

Edit: "sign Marcus" to "extend Marcus"

If my memory serves correct we were both riding the Augustin train since way before the trade deadline.  He would have been a perfect fit off the bench.  I'd like to see the team bring in some more veterans regardless of the path they choose during the off-season.

Definitely how I remember it. He's been so solid since joining the Magic and has only improved, becoming a more efficient guy than he was in Charlotte.

Blegh. Hopefully JJ Reddick decides he want very little money and wants to come here. More floor-spacing would be very appreciated!

hope we keep him and start him.  If it's not working out...he'll have more trade value than he currently does, as it's 100% guarantee he will play better, get to the hoop on drives, rebound, etc.

pettiness makes for poor roster decisions.
