After watching tonight's game, I am leaning heavily on the side of keeping Kyrie and getting AD (or a player to pair with Ky) at all costs!

Hayward played like garbage all season long. Tatum sucked in this series. Brad sucks as a coach. When the team fails to make adjustments, it's reflective on the coach. Tonight's game has made me see things a little differently. After game 3 and 4, Kyrie was the easy target. Well, I don't think so.

Deal Hayward, Tatum and Brown for AD and Hill's contract.

Re-sign Morris, keep Horford for the long-term, don't trade Smart and that's that.

Pick up another point guard to replace Rozier and tell him to pack his bags and leave.

Hopefully Stevens won't be far behind.

JP it’s definitely a question worth asking, but who are the alternatives? Ty Lue, Dave Joerger, Stan van Gundy, Frank Vogel?

Jeff van Gundy!

I want Brad to be our coach for the next 30 years.  I don't think he'd be a good coach for Kyrie and AD though.  If Danny believes elite players for 5 years is more important than an elite coach for 30 years, then I think we should consider goin a different direction from Brad.  I'd rather us keep Brad and move on from Kyrie.

Brad isn't the one who's going to be playing on the court getting us wins, Kyrie will be.

I'll never understand prioritizing a mediocre coach like Brad over a star player like Kyrie.

Kyrie just went 25/83 for 76 points in the final four games. He can get the "star" description back when he earns it.

Many of us were highly critical of Brad the entire season.  It turns out our fears were true - that when playoff time came, he and our team would struggle with the same problems that have plagued us the entire season.

We would have lost this series even if Brad coached perfectly.  The Bucks were that much better than we were.  That said I could not be less impressed with the job he did, and quite honestly he's had a failure of a season.

He'll be back next season as upper management love Stevens.  I guess I'm OK with that, depending on how things play out in the offseason with our roster.   I don't have much patience left for his poor coaching however and I hope he has some brilliance left in him.

This is the first time Brad has coached a favorite and it just didn't work out. It's a different type of motivation. Underdog teams - those guys have chips in their shoulders. That's what Brad has had the most experience with and that's what he's most comfortable with. I still think he can grow as a coach.

Tom tibedou perhaps?

If you want to shorten the career of your key guys significantly, sure

Rather he runs them to the ground than watching our key guys get rolled over ever year. Plus he's a defensive guru.

Wins?  We made it to the ECF for two straight years behind Brad with no Kyrie.  How many wins did Kyrie get us this postseason?  He shot 37% or below from the field in 7 of our 9 playoff games.

If Brad is a mediocre coach, then name 9 current head coaches who are better than him.

Brad seems to be better with a star less young team.

I am afraid his system would not fit Kyrie and AD.

I agree and it will be either or

giving up on CBS would likely be also the end of Danny

Outside of Lue, I think all of those guys would be competent replacements. I've long been a fan of van Gundy, and I think he has the kind of demeanor and experience that would have been good for this particular group.

Another name that I would love to see - Thibs. I think his coaching style would've been perfect for this group. The only concern would be his tendency to ride players too hard during the season, which wouldn't be great with Kyrie and AD both being a bit injury prone.

You're concerned about Stevens offense and yet you want to import Thibs?

Give credit where credit is due. Milwaukee went from 8 seed to 1 seed. They added good pieces and revamped their style of play. If last year's Boston team played this year's Milwaukee team, ain't no ECF appearance for. People need to stop comparing those teams. The East didn't wait for us.
