Serious question. Stevens wasn't able to manage the level of talent we had this year. How exactly is he going to manage another superstar talent in AD, who as we saw this year also has a bit of a diva streak to him, as well? He's not found a way to connect with Kyrie yet, so why would we expect him to figure that out along with integrating AD?

And for God's sake, I think we all have nightmares about what he'll turn AD into offensively. We'll have an elite, MVP-caliber interior threat who can attack the rim and finish on almost anyone in the league, and Brad will have him hanging out on the three point line.

Yeah, count me out for that.

Brad seems to be better with a star less young team.

I am afraid his system would not fit Kyrie and AD.

It will be easier.

We’ll have fewer so called talented players. Not as deep.

Not really. He gives his players too much trust. Unless that changes the C’s will continue to go out chucking shots.

Hell no. Get rid of Stevens and Hayward. Keep Kyrie and get AD.

On the blame pie of things that have gone wrong, I'm not sure Stevens is the top 3. Has he had a bad year? Sure. But I think you have to give him at least one year coaching AD and Kyrie.

I haven't given up on Brad yet. Or Kyrie. But I have been disappointed in Brad's complete lack of innovation with this offense. We don't have an interior scoring presence and some okay shooters, but there's more here than what we've seen. Hopefully, it's a lesson and ultimately a season of growth.

You realize that's what AD has been doing for the past 2-3 years, right? He's a pretty low-effort player (especially on defense). My Lakers fan friend who follows the Western Conference closely is baffled that AD continually gets a pass for being an unengaged defender and lazy offensive player. (Seriously, he's worked more on face dribbling than post work the past few years.)

You don’t want to see AD become a 3 pt marksman?

But in all honestly Brad needs to do some soul searching and change his philosophies. Guys need defined roles. If we trade for AD, keep Bead and they underachieve next season, I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s canned or there’s a mutual parting.

I'd like to see what Stevens can do with a talented roster if Ainge can assemble one.

Also, people keep saying Brad can't coach stars, but that didn't seem to stop him with IT who was better during his time in Boston than Kyrie has been. I don't think we have enough evidence one way or another  say he can't.

Going to be interesting when AD decides he wants to stay in NO.
