Next year, Stevens needs to be on the hot seat as the Celtics coach. The problem is Ainge wont' put any pressure on Brad. Great coaches are known for putting their players in the best position to be effective and win ball games. Stevens does the exact opposite, most of the time. I predicted before the Bucks/Celtics series began that the Bucks would win. The Bucks would win b/c the Celtics chuck up way too many 3's; don't get enough points in the paint; are 29th in the league in FTAs; stand in the corners, rarely cutting to the basket for easy buckets; don't post up Horford, Tatum and Morris nearly enough to be effective; Stevens fails to emphasize the importance of blocking out on rebounds. And lastly, Stevens appears to be afraid to hold his players accountable.

I agree, but for some reason he's treated like the second coming of Red.
Back to wanting Joe fired.

Anyone clarify his Contract?
How many years left at what price?

*Monty Williams was the guy to get if Stevens was being let go. Past history of winning and Coaching Davis. Phoenix got a good hire!

I think we hired him for 6 years in 2013, then gave him 3 more years in 2016. Unsure about money

Ainge and co. seem pretty committed to him. With that said, I just hope he learns from this year. He needs to revamp his offensive philosophy. This much talent on a team that's been underutilized because he insists on an egalitarian offense instead of establishing a clear hierarchy. Multiple players have struggled with their roles all season, meaning they're not defined. There's too much reliance on the three ball, we need to install more off ball movement and cutting. We have the athletes and the finishers to be a much more well rounded offensive team than we have been. It's like he still thinks we're an underdog where he has to hide a talent deficiency.

Wyc is pretty something for trusting in Danny Ainge as a GM for the Celtics when they haven't won anything since 2008.

I think it’s pretty fair considering we likely would have at least 1 more banner if not for injury / 2010 screw job. I think our consistent leadership is much more preferable to LA

Kyrie will get most of the blame but CBS was the most disappointing part of the year.

We’re getting beat by the better team with superior talent. Budenholzer isn’t coaching circles around Stevens. It’s just that we aren’t that good of a team. We’re overrating our players and forgetting that Hayward is not close to being what he was in Utah. I think he’ll get there, hopefully next season he looks like a new guy. But his recovery is ongoing. Meanwhile Giannis is playing every bit the MVP and Milwaukee is having a good playoffs after a great year. Losing is hard but most teams lose at the end of the year eventually. As a fan base we’ve got to be a little better. We’re spoiled and the stability we have in this franchise - I.e. not making rash, emotional decisions - is enviable. We’re knocking at the door of success. This is hard. It won’t be easy. Anther Finals could be next year, could be 10 years, could be NEVER. We gotta play the games like everyone else.

Stevens is a student of the game, and he’s disciplined. He’ll work on his game and he’ll improve.

I agree, but going small never works.
