 I'm surprised I'm turning on the guy but he's not an alpha. Players should be at least a little intimidated or even scared of their coach nobody scared of this guy.

 Name me another NBA championship coach as passive as Brad. Great coach with lesser players. Avg coach with this team.

Seriously? No one in the NBA is scared of their coach. Players routinely get coaches fired.

I think rondo was on his way out which is why they got smart.  Then instead of developing smart as your point guard of the future and building in areas of need, Ainge trades for another oh, drafts another pg,  gets some ham and eggers thenyrades for another pg.  all to come to the conclusion that the pg you originally drafted was probably where you shoulda started building your team.

Absolutely not!

I like brad but he’s not a high talent roster coach.  They need a strong personality leader coach. I’m not the biggest doc rivers fan but he woulda got more outta this team

Doc absolutely would have gotten more out of this group.  Doc is a master at getting his guys to all buy into his plan, even if they all don't love the plan.

As an aside, I like Doc a heck of a lot more than I like Brad.  Doc is so much more personable.

 Seriously? Remember big Baby Davis. He was scared of Doc. Nobody wants Doc to yell at you. He's an alpha Male and he means business.

 Tony Parker was scared of Coach Pop,
Chuck Daily would kill Mike Myers in a horror Movie. Pat Riley might stap you in the neck with a pencil.

Yes. The roster is a bit flawed and needs to be addressed. They a sniper from outside and they needs Anthony Davis

I've always had the impression that Stevens has a major say in team personnel. In fact, I've seen Ainge quoted as saying he, Stevens and Wyc share in personnel decisions. Perhaps it's Stevens who wants only bigs who can play on the perimeter. That really hurts them inside.  Why Ainge drafted Williams is a puzzle. 

The Celtics to me are too perimeter oriented to be a Championship team. That makes them vulnerable in the paint.  The previous Championship teams had much better balance. This team lacks an inside game. When this team is at their best, they penetrate with lots of ball distribution, like the old Celtics teams. At their worst, they sit on the perimeter, and it's bombs away.

By the way, I hope Danny is OK and recuperating well. I understand he had a mild heart attack.

Issue this season was talent.  This roster doesn’t really work. 

Maybe they will win more games in spite of it, but most likely we are heading to a major shakeup this summer.

I guess, after reading a few pages of the thread, it comes down to whether you think Stevens is the right coach for this team, or whether you think this team is the right roster to maximise Stevens' talents.

People who like how the roster is constructed and think we're one of the most talented teams in the league believe Stevens is at considerable fault.

People who think DA hasn't constructed a very good roster, or an imbalanced roster rather, think Stevens has been hard done by.

Both have valid claims IMO. Call me a fence-sitter, but I'm still going to wait until I pass judgement on him. I definitely have moments of frustration with him, but he is still no doubt very talented. Give him AD and see what happens

I think the coach has lost some of his luster this season but he's still more than good enough to get the job done. The problem is the players they currently have on the roster - some need to be swapped out.

Steve Kerr is just chilling on that bench while three of his four best shooters in the NBA and arguably in the world are doing work on the court.
