2004 taught me to never give up and always believe and now is no different. One game at a time. Win on Monday and then its a three game series.
Yeah, just don't get Boston sports fans that lived through 3-0 down to Yankees in 2004 and saw that comeback and yet still give up before games have even been played.

And if the game is still going on, if you lived through Super Bowl LI, Pats down 28-3 late in the third quarter yet won the game, how do you give up on a game in the first or second quarter of any game?

But I see it on this site all the time. Don't get it.

The absence of Baynes is a killer for the Celtics. They get dominated up front  when he's out. He didn't play most of game 3 because of an injury, and the  Bucks cleaned up inside.  And they lost a lot of games during the season down the stretch when he was out.

Ainge's biggest mistake this year was not adding another big as insurance for Baynes. Especially when a number of bigs were available down the stretch which were promptly taken by most of the contending teams--except for the  Celtics. Without Baynes, I don't see the Celtics winning this series. They simply aren't strong enough in the paint.

I think the fairer question is.... Do you believe we will ever get a fair officiating in this series.

The team just can't breath on the Freak.. Every drive is a freak in foul, send him to the line..Kyrie was right they can't get any rhythm or fastbreaks points bec of it....if the officiating is some what neutral then we may have a chance.

I'll believe in the team if they play with urgency.

Between the way the refs are kissing Giannis's butt and Kyrie's shot selection, it doesn't look promising.

Well, since I didn't believe that we gonna win both games in Boston, this should be better scenario for winning the series. Win game no.4 and go to Milwaukee with confidence and steal game 5. Then go to Boston and finish them on home floor. In extremely hostile enviroment those Bucks role players will fold. I believe.

Let's leave the Believe crap to CLE, and their fans.   I will be rooting for us to crush the Bucks, this next game is the most important of the season and we will be fighting the refs to boot.

When these guys play for one another they are phenomenal.

When they don’t they’re pedestrian.

Kyrie is the key.

Do I believe?
No.
As long as the refs mollycoddle Giannis, we have no chance.

For me, it is quite simply Milwaukee is the better team (and has the best player in the series) and in basketball that almost always matters.  Baseball you get a couple of hot pitchers and you can win with lesser talent (though the Sox might have actually been the better team that year).  So in my mind, Boston being the lesser team it couldn't afford to lose game 3 and fall behind in the series and let the momentum fully go to the Bucks.

I kept saying throughout the season in game thread after game thread...... We need Bigs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm beginning to think Baynes is still hurt (only played 2 minutes in Game 3). And frankly, for a team that LOVES to "live by the 3 and die by the 3", it amazes me we didn't go hard after some sharpshooters at the deadline or buyout market while other teams did. And as we're seeing, it's making a difference for them. And I love how for the bigs department, we "settled" on Greg Monroe who is now with PHI anyways.

Yes, I believe!!

But, we have to win Monday night. If not, sadly this series is over.

Yeah if we go back to MIL down 3-1, we're officially done. We probably already are, BUT to have a chance we absolutely have to win Game 4 and also at least guarantee another game at TD Garden this series. Then who knows, maybe they can steal 1 more at MIL? Not likely but still possible. We've seen stranger things happen.

You picked Sixers over Celtics in last year’s playoffs for the same reason I recall. How’d that turn out?

By the way I actually agree with you that generally it should turn out that way and that Milwaukee has the best player and team.

Not officially. I think they have to win one more.

Plus there have been other examples, like 1968 and 1981 where we trailed Sixers 3-1 and came back to win Series.

Anything is possible!!

Although I’d share your gloom if we fell down 3-1.
