If the Bucks cannot win tonight...not sure they will at all in this series. Have everything they need...Refs, at home, trying to make amends...

I just have visions of the playoff game last year at Philly.

Giannis will shoot at least 15 FTs tonight.

We also get Marc Davis and Tom Washington...great  :(

Did you mean 15 FTs for the first half quarter alone?

Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Celtics in their last 9 Playoff Games Officiated by Tony Brothers: 1-8

Celtics in their last 13 Road Games Officiated by Tony Brothers: 0-13

In that span the Celtics are a sub .250 team ATS with Brother as the ref

The fact that the referee assignments are another factor that's looked at before an NBA Playoff game is ridiculous. Do we usually think before an NHL, MLS, NFL or MLB game, "OMG this guy is reffing/is the ump!?! We're screwed". Not often. In the MLB there are some umpires like Angel Hernandez, Kulpa and Joe West who are notoriously awful but for the most part I feel it's fine and there's no real controversy besides those 2-3 guys. The NBA I feel has dozens of refs that are both hated and awful. There's even legitimate stats suggesting how bad they are and how they tend to screw certain teams over  ::)

Four pages of doom and gloom - yep must be Celticsstrong ;D

Let's just see how this thing plays out before we usher in The End of the World?

BOS should be READY to respond to whatever tone is set by the officiating. And no matter HOW CLOSE the officials call the game or whatever will NOT change what was already exposed in game 1...

Greek Freak - while my personal MVP candidate - certainly has weaknesses.

Our Team the last few weeks have upped their tempo on the defensive end.

Our Team WILL impose their WILL - like Celtics Teams of old.

MIL "WILL" come out swinging.....aggressive.....angry. We MUST match this, weather the storm and ride this thing out.

Take their BEST PUNCHES then ENDURE just like Rocky.

Knock Greek Freak on his keester just like Rocky did here to Drago.

WE GOT THIS!!

They brought in Brothers because Joey Crawford is no longer available.

And they brought in Marc Davis because Tim Donaghy was busy...

Pretty coincidental the that both games tonight have refs that have some bad history with the teams playing. They say it's decided ahead of time, if so, then there's no reason to not announce who's reffing where when it's decided. waiting until the day of stinks.

There's a reason they don't announce regs earlier, the league is lying.

Let me know if I've got this straight... The league office maintains that it assigns the officials for the first four games of each series before the series begins, but doesn't make those choices public until right before each game?

Its not only BS it is also irrelevant because these choices can be put in place before the series is known as insurance. Its like a stop gap measure. This we had it done in advance defense is not a defense at all.

Glad our third ref isn't Ken Mauer or Scott Foster. It would be a living nightmare.

So Celtics are now 1-9, and 0-14 if those numbers were correct.

I hate to do this but that feels like enough games to be kind of significant.
