End of the day there is also not enough mouths to feed

Brown, Tatum, Hayward should be playing lots of minutes

I am not against trading Smart in a good deal, certainly to get Davis, but I look at it this way.  In the fourth quarter of a playoff game, at crunch time, who would you rather have on the court, Smart or Brown; Smart or Rozier; Smart or Hayward?

We do have some redundancy in these players and someone will probably get traded but if we do trade Smart, he will be missed.

Letting Rozier walk will open up more opportunities for Smart.

I also feel like there are too many mouths to feed on this team but if no big trade happens, the odd man out is probably Morris. Next season, Brown and Hayward can both be playing 5-6 more minutes a game and then hopefully Timelord and/or Semi will be ready to be bumped up to a 10-15 mpg role in the rotation.

I want Smart to retire a Celtic.

Brown or Hayward over Smart

how about enjoy the playoffs with the whole team for now....including the #1 effort guy, especially regular season...leaving it on the floor even when the games "don't matter".

There will be adversity. We did not win the title yesterday, just had a great game.

Plenty of time to play GM between end of the season and draft.

In theory, if we traded him wouldnt we receive another mouth to feed in return? I can't imagine people around here would rather have yet another mid to late 1st round draft pick in compensation..

As a lurker mostly, one of the things I've noticed over the years is how threads like this pop up in the post season.  On the surface, it sounds ill timed...but I've come to believe that it's the posters attempt to cut the tension of the playoffs (at least for themselves, perhaps for those who respond also) by focusing on things that will occur AFTER the post season is completed.

It's therapeutic for them it appears! :)

Like I've pretty much said all along, I'd do Tatum + Smart + Yabu + (2-3 picks) or (RW3 + 1-2 picks) for Anthony Davis and not think twice.

However, this isn't a knee jerk reaction to going 5-0 in the playoffs without Smart, it's for reasons we discussed nonstop before the playoffs.

Triboy is also the same guy that wanted to trade Horford for Dedmon...

What to do with this guy?  Maybe its time to consider trading him (and eat 50 cents on the dollar)
Trade for a cheaper option like Dedmon to take care of things around the paint

Moved on from "trade Kyrie!" shtick? Trading Smart for anyone other than AD is ridiculous. If anything, we should have traded Rozier.

And it was getting rid of Horford before that.
well, you know this is all a grand scheme to get Jordan Mickey back on the team.  He got his hopes up again with the C's bringing back RJ Hunter.  if they'll take him back, why not Mickey?  ;)

Too many mouths to feed is the reason they keep rolling after injuries.

You guys are NEVER happy and still can't see why they're winning.

Tatum actually became defensive-minded that game.

Rozier played within himself and made timely buckets, with good looks to Kyrie on top of that.

Morris made play after play as usual and timely buckets.

Jaylen is playing borderline all-star level and a tough matchup for anyone on the floor, for any aspect whether shooting, driving, rebounding,  and defense...which is funny because all guys harp about is him being out of position all the time.

So these 4 guys and Smart are the ones you constantly say this team can do without  ::)

The only eye-opening thing is Kyrie actually playing like a point who has a team with weapons.

  • A true Celtic plays with heart.
I knew the moment this thread was made that it wasn't going to end well.

Not to mention the fact that the fact Smart improved in literally every facet of his game. But now we should trade him?

The team is planning on trading him though  ;).

(for an MVP caliber guy)
