REVELATION!   We are a crappy three point shooting team.

I wonder if the guys and coaching staff knows it...
Well, if this is the case then it’s a big player weakness.  Not a coaching issue.

Someone want to tell Kyrie it’s the playoffs? I thought I heard about some magical switch once the playoffs started. This looks like the same underachieving team from the regular season.

Another upset in the making...

Well if the Pacers do win, it ain't an upset in my book... The [dang] Cs have been playing terribly the whole season they just lucked the Pacers don't have Oladipo and is still giving the Cs a tough time.

With all the turnovers, missed shots, and offensive rebounds we allowed, we are lucky the Pacers are not up by 20+ right now.

HOT GARBAGE GAME

but we are still in it

we can easily win this

lets see what BRAD does at half

hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmn

BRAD does not do anything at the half but go on ETRADE to trade all those TIMEOUTS he saves. NBA should have a new rule if you dont use your TIMEOUTS the other team gets to use em.

Turnovers and 2nd chance points for the Pacers are killing us. Kind of annoyed that Danny didn't go for a big man instead of Jonathan Gibson (who likely won't be seeing any playing time for us anyway).

Kyrie + Al = 4-15

They will heat up.

Celtics 32.5%
Pacers 41.5%

Danny had all types of chances to get a rim protector but noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

The champs for the past 6 seasons has not had a rim protector.

...unless you consider Tristan Thompson or Dreymod Green as “rum protectors”

Three Quick Thoughts:

1. Kyrie and Horford need to do better on offense. A combined 4-15 that first half.

2. Although he's missed a few easier ones, I LOVE the aggressiveness from Hayward. Also love that he got 16 minutes, which shows he could truly have a bigger role in these playoffs.

3. Morris pretty much kept us in the game with his offense. Rozier on the other hand... ugh.

I think we should be a bit thankful we're down just 7 and still in it. Need to start the 2nd half on fire though.

Feels like we should be down 12+ with that pathetic performance.  Down just 7 on 33% shooting and 9 turnovers.  I'll take it I guess.

Pacers just don't have Victor Oladipo.

Many people on this board: "It'S oKaY tHaT sMaRt Is OuT fOr ThE fIrSt RoUnD dUe To A dUmB dEcIsIoN tO pLaY hIm In A mEaNiNgLeSs GaMe! We'Ll HaNdLe InDy WiThOuT hIm!" We should still win this series, but people thinking this would be a cakewalk without Smart are crazy.

We clearly are struggling without that secondary playmaker out there in Smart. It might be time to start Hayward over Tatum, as he can provide you with Tatum's scoring while also providing the passing and playmaking to allow Kyrie to play off the ball, which neither Brown nor Tatum can provide you. And I prefer Brown at the 2 rather than going big with one of Tatum or Hayward there, as I don't think they are quick enough to guard as 2's.

SMART is impossible to replace that is why you do not play him in a meaningless game.

TP. I think you can say that about all the starters in a meaningless game, but Smart in particular with his grit-n-grind style is especially important to rest in those games, as he doesn't know how to play any other way. We may end up with an early playoff exit all because Brad's brainfart in the Orlando game that literally made no sense whatsoever.

Guys playing hard, like a chicken with their heads cut off.

I think it will settle down. Offensively they are making the right passes. Just missed some shots.
There is something missing, even with the ball movememt.

I really dont think so. They've allowed 38 points with 4 minutes left in the quarter. In todays NBA thats pretty good. Mostly its just the turnovers. Horford had a bad pass. Brown a push off. Tatum lost the ball on the dribble twice. Kyrie couldn't inbound it. Hayward threw one away. Its led to 11 of the Pacers point. If they tighten that up this game will swing fast.
The issue as I see it is that sometimes ball movement is related to guys not taking shots that the should take.  We need guys that will take the first open shot off the drive, not pump fake and drive again.  Lots of those passes are useless.

Ya I haven't seen that. Gordon has been hesitant at times and maybe he's passes out of some shots but he also has 4 assist at the half so at worst it hasn't hurt them. Mostly they are just shooting terribly and turning it over a lot. If either ne of  those things course corrects  the C's will win.

  • GOT IT!!!
This team is depressing because they don’t play with enough heart. Indiana hasn’t shown anything but toughness. They aren’t that good but they WANT it. Bodes well going forward smh

Also, Tatum is 3-4 with 7 points. Can we go to him more as well?

Alright, seven points is nothing in the nba.  I suppose we should start Morris but then we’re left within a two guard.  Anything but brown, who’s looked awful.
