I know I have been guilty of this myself, it is very easy to overreact to a single playoff game and think it means the series is solved. We looked pretty incredible game 1 then the opposite in game 2. I think it is pretty clear whoever wins the next game is extremely likely. If Toronto wins they regain home court and have a best of theee with two at home. If Philly wins, commanding 3-1 lead. The next game is a pickem per vegas. So this series is really still a toss up. I will say it was disheartening how Philly folded in the 4th and just started doing tons of unforced errors. There could be something to Lowry being really mentally weak.
I would be very surprised if Embiid that showed up Game 3 is available for every other game in the series. He's been super creaky for weeks, but looked pretty much like he was at 100% in Game 3. Seems more likely that he just had a really good night. Next game I bet he looks a lot creakier.
The Sixers have a higher ceiling than Toronto, and pretty much every other team in the East, simply because they have the most talent in their starting 5. I remain skeptical that they can make the most of that talent often enough to get to the Finals.
Toronto's got to be really concerned by Kyle Lowry's inability to make an impact, though.
At the same time, Kawhi is good every night and Siakam is pretty consistent. If they can get more production from Marc Gasol it might not matter so much if Lowry isn't really scoring.
