EDIT: So I googled the "story" since there was no link or additional info provided by OP. If the Lakers weren't barred from trading for AD, I don't see how a misstep by a social media intern causes us to be.

Very odd they did that.

But, does this really constitute tampering?

It didn’t come from a front office/coaching staff employee, so the league may fine them but we’ve seen much worse.

Probably going to cost their social media person their job.

I don't see how a seemingly rogue tweet would get an AD trade vetoed.  If it does, that person is going to need to move out of state.

I'd be shocked if the league has anything to say about this. It wasn't wise, but hardly tampering.

Even if it was I don't think it would have any effect on a potential Davis trade.

It just says "Davis" and "23." I believe that it could be any Davis, or a name chosen at random to show what #23 would look like on the Celtics.. The last name Davis is the 7th most common in North America, not to mention the 45th most common in England and 68th most common in Wales.

Clearly, the chances that they are referring to "Anthony Davis" the basketball player are obviously very, very slim.
