Did we really just compare Terry Rozier to Kyle Lowry? This is peak offseason.

Let Irving do what he wants. I think Rozier can play as good as Lowry. We can come out of the east if we get growth from both Brown and Tatum. Brown needs to Learn the feel of the Game and Tatum needs to trust his game. Gordon needs to believe in game. Smart is going to grow more as well. Danny will trade some picks and get us what we need for a center. Semi and Yabu i believe will be a good bench. Williams may grow over the summer.  I for one will enjoy to see us grow a team. KG wanted to come to Boston. Kyrie never seem like he did. But will he leave 50 mil on the table is the big question. He is not a endorsement ringer. We shall see.
Not sure if you're grossly overrating Rozier or grossly underrating a 5 time All-Star
As good as Lowry now. Lowry is not an All Star now.

He was an all-star this year, his fifth season in a row.

Oh cmon it’s the east. Y’all know Lowery is not good like that.

Its Lowry.

And yes he is good. He is very good. Excellent defender. Far superior passer. Far superior shooter than rozier.

People just don't like Lowry, that guy is a very good player.
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

Why you can't trust the sports media for anything--except the scores.

This aft, I'm watching Cowherd  and he's talking about Durant--saying he should stay with the Warriors--his agent will tell him to come back to the Warriors next year, because 1) he has unfinished business, and 2) it is much to his financial advantage to sign with his current team. That was before he was talking about his usual position that Irving is going to NY--now the Nets?. And, naturally ignoring the Celtics, who are in the same position with Irving as Golden State is with Durant--same incentive to re-sign with his current team. And he certainly has unfinished business.  The difference, of course, is Cowherd is LA, and he never says anything good about Boston, except for Brady and the Patriots.

Everybody in the media has an agenda with their opinions. You just can't go on anything they say.

I've seen whole threads on here taking a lot of speculation for fact.  You got to know the difference between fact and opinion. The media likes to be ahead of the facts. They are in the entertainment business.

These days you have to be able to differentiate between real journalists (like Shams or Woj) and entertainment anchors (like Cowherd, Bayless, Broussard, etc). I have a small list of reputable reporters that I trust, the rest of it is just speculation or pushing a narrative to fill airtime or to build their brand.
Any odd typos are because I suck at typing on an iPhone :D

Well, sadly Woj is reporting that Kyrie's interest in Brooklyn is real. I do agree with you btw on the fake sports reporters like Cowherd and Stephen A, the latter of whom said it's 95% guaranteed Kyrie and Durant go to New York.

Kyrie Irving is serious about the Nets -- and the Nets are serious about beating the Knicks -- and rest of league -- to the biggest free agents in the marketplace, per league sources.

Yep I posted earlier in this thread that I don't believe anything unless it comes from Woj or Shams. Or Danny. I don't even believe it if Kyrie says it

I don't think anyone takes anything Kyrie says seriously. He is a weirdo. With how this GS-TOR series is playing out, KD may stay. So that makes sense for Kyrie to go to NJ.

poetic justice if Kyrie ends up in Brooklyn?? Is that akin to the  NETS getting back one of their picks from Boston?

SAS criticized Ainge for not coming to Kyrie’s defense during the season, and says no way Kyrie returns to Boston.

I’d love for Kyrie to return just to shut that punk up.

He also said we should have traded Kyrie for Leonard last off-season. I am no SAS fan, but, yeah, definitely.

Anyway, I don't agree with his assessment at all. I believe DA has a very good working relationship with many of his players. I have no doubt he has had Irving's back behind the scenes and he is working diligently to convince him to re-sign.

I still envision a scenario where Kyrie comes back.

If we get Davis and dump Hayward's contract (let's say to Cleveland for expiring contracts, as was rumored) and then package the expiring contracts of JR Smith, Jordan Clarkson or Brandon Knight along with Tatum and Brown for Davis, we could end up with:

Kyrie/Smart/Morris/Horford/Davis

Horford restructures his deal

Going into 2020, our cap space looks alot better.

We'd be able to keep Kyrie, Davis and perhaps add another all-star.

I would even entertain offering Kyrie a 1+1 deal to make this work.

So you would rather have Smart and Morris starting than Brown and Hayward? I don't get that. Brown and Hayward will be much better players next year than Smart and Morris, IMO, and are younger with chances of getting better(Brown through development, Hayward from healing).

I wouldn’t care too much to have Morris starting again. He’s great don’t get me wrong, I just don’t care for his nonchalant Attitude on defense. But brown and Hayward have to start for the direction the Celtics want to go.

And I’m all set on Kyrie leaving. I’ve came to terms with this weeks ago. Of course I’d love compensation for him, but the divorce is good for everyone.
