Not sure if anyone say Jay King’s most recent retweet: https://mobile.twitter.com/ByJayKing/status/1136704720331005952

Strong words from a former Kyrie Irving teammate.

It’s a clip of Perk being asked who he thinks Kyrie will sign with. His response:

I really don’t care. I really don’t care who Kyrie signs with. He really disappointed me — the way he represented the Celtics this year. So I’d rather not even speak on it.

Go Perk!

I’m told that Kyrie Irving was indeed at the 40/40 club with a few Brooklyn Nets players last night, including Caris LeVert, Jared Dudley, Theo Pinson and Alan Williams. #Nets

The guy is a reporter for nets Daily

Why are you cheering him on? You actually want to let an All Star for nothing?

This bash Kyrie tour has gotten him more attention than he's had in years. Let him have it.

Yes, I would prefer to see Kyrie go elsewhere. I could list probably double-digit reasons why I don’t want him back with the Celtics. But unfortunately we are in that awkward phase where nothing can happen for a month, so we just have to wait—no one is going to change their minds about this.

But, yes, many Celtics fans recognize that in theory, “losing an All-Star for nothing” is bad for the team. We just don’t like the guy at all and want to cheer for guys who are hard workers and not weirdos who are obsessed with themselves.

Woj has come out and said that the Nets have traded Crabbe to the Hawks for Prince to clear 18m of salary and that Kyrie is absolutely serious about the Nets. Kind of confirmed the news that's out there anyway, but this is Woj saying it now.

Time for me to start accepting that Kyrie Irving is gone. Which means no more Anthony Davis dream.

But I don't think I'm gonna feel good about Terry Rozier being the future.

I always thought that of Boston, Brooklyn, NY and even the Lakers, Boston would have offered Kyrie the best chance to win now, in terms of assets both that we have and that we could get. Even if he teamed up with KD at the Nets or Knicks, would they still be a better team than Boston with him, AD, Hayward, Brown, Horford etc? I couldn't see them being better, I just don't think they have the personnel outside their Big 2 (both of whom have had their share of injuries over the years). If you look at things dispassionately I think the Celtics come out the logical team that offers the best chance to win now.

BUT...the two factors not associated to competitiveness I always thought might sway the decision would be a) how accepted he feels with the Celtics and the fans; and b) his chemistry with Brad Stevens and Brad's style of play.

Earlier in the season and through most of last season he was relatively well-received by the fans, and he said all the right things about wanting to be here, wanting to get his number retired, about the team's history, etc. But as the season deteriorated the fan perception of him just became more and more negative to the point where for most people his playoff flameout was unforgivable and he was the root cause of everything wrong with the team (certainly he bears his share of the blame as the leader but I don't think it's all his fault). Kyrie says he doesn't do social media but I think even he would find it hard not to feel all the hate and anger from the fanbase. Who wants to play for fans who hate you anyway?

The other thing is whether he feels that Brad's schemes and playing philosophy will get the best out of him. The team can move asset pieces around to build him the team he wants but if he feels there's incompatibility of lack of chemistry between him and Brad then it would make sense for him to move somewhere else where the style of play is more suitable to his skill set.

Okay, NOW I can acknowledge the Kyrie-Nets connection being real since it's coming from Woj.

Woj, Shams, Stein, Himmelsbach/Washburn (Celtics), Windhorst (for Lebron/Lakers) are the ones I truly look out for in terms of rumors/reports, not Kyler/Bucher/Haynes/Stephen A Smith, etc.

Don’t be so sure. There’s rumors out there that Danny may go after AD even without a solid indication that Kyrie will stay.

If we can keep Brown in the AD trade and Hayward gets back to his Utah form, then that’s still a really good team that could compete for a championship. Assuming a trade of Tatum, Smart, picks, and filler, that would leave something like Rozier (gulp), Brown, Hayward, AD, and Horford as our starting lineup with Mook, Semi, Baynes, Theis, and whoever else we can get off of our bench.

Need to get Rubio or something in that lineup... definitely not Rozier. I really don’t think AD will stay after a year of playing with him, a major downgrade from Jrue who thinks he’s as good.
