If Kyrie ends up going to Brooklyn, could the Celtics and Nets do a double sign and trade?

Kyrie for D'Angelo Russell.

Given the way the team played after Hondo died, can it be said that any of them have an ounce of Celtic pride? The came out and laid a big egg.
I'm dead serious about this.

A big thing is made about the history of this franchise and how it's an honor to be part of it. I don't think the young guys really care about that tbh. Maybe it's just a sign of a generational change, but today's current player would rather play for losing team with beach access than have a shot at having their number retired among legends.

Boy they are really piling on poor Kyrie.  He deserves some criticism, should be held accountable, but this has swung to the other extreme.

This is part of the deal when you ask to be the singular face of a franchise.  He had one of the worst 4 game stretches for a Superstar in the history of sports.  All of this happened after he declared that the team would be fine because "I'm here".  He doesn't give people a reason to cut him any slack.

That said, I always try to keep an open mind about these things.  I'm in wait and see mode when it comes to the off-season.  Hopefully Kyrie can properly reflect on the season now that it's finally over with.  The same goes for the rest of team and Brad Stevens.

jeez lets just leave the poor guy alone. He had a crap series. It has happened to lots of players (and most of our players had a crap series).

I think Jaylen Brown "gets it".  He's seems very knowledgeable and respectful about Celtic history.   If you haven't caught his interview with Satch Sanders, you should.
NBA Officiating - Corrupt?  Incompetent?  Which is worse?  Does it matter?  It sucks.

No I haven't seen that, but good to know there's at least one. Hopefully it's infectious.

I feel like the celtics can sell Kyrie on an 'unfinished business' angle and also that they are bringing in AD so Kyrie can really compete for a title right here in boston.

Honestly who cares?  I find it more entertaining that Kyrie is supposedly eccentric.  Who wants to hear boring interview lines?

If we can get Kyrie and AD together on the same thing, everything will be MUCH better.

Celtics lost because they don't have the right mix of talent and chemistry.

Obtaining AD will cost us 1 of Tatum/Brown plus a ton of draft picks.

And honestly, we need to lose 1 of them going forward because they aren't getting enough minutes with Hayward here.

Eh, maybe you are not crazy about how he handled the media but talent is talent.  Kyrie is a competitor, never forget that, otherwise he doesn't lead that comeback against the Warriors as a mere pup in the NBA.

Kyrie is just an eccentric personality and a hard nut to figure out.

Who can we get to replace Kyrie who would be better?  Terry Rozier?  They are just not in the same class.

I have never seen the diva miss so many shots so badly.  I really question if he was missing his shots on purpose those last 3 games.  Many of his shots were not even close and I really wonder if Kyrie is that messed up mentally to miss on purpose to get back at Celtic Fans.  This guy is one messed up dude and if Danny attempts to resign him, I do not think I can watch them next season.  The guy is a great shooter and I have no other explanation for his performance.

I have an explanation..... The Bucks Defense....and the refs that did not give Kyrie superstar calls. In the NBA when superstars suck like that they get bailed out by refs. Kyrie in this series not so much.

He was intentionally taking bad shots while cold, which warrants plenty of criticism, but is a mile from missing on purpose.

Game 5 in particular it really seemed like he was more motivated to show up individually than help the team. Game 4 he missed a ton but moved the ball well and found open shooters too. Not much of that in Game 5.
I didn't love his game 5, but he had I think 5 or 6 nice kick outs to open shooters early in the game.

They bricked every single one. He lost what belief he had in his teammates at that point in the game. The whole team seemed to, at least on the offensive end.

The giving up on teammates warrants plenty of criticism too, especially after he knew his shots weren't going either.

I can't disrespect Kyrie's effort - he really was trying hard out there, including on D - but a misplaced focus on needing to be the playmaker all the time instead of being the most prominent and dangerous piece of a team offense.

If it were up to Kyrie, I see him pushing to trade Brown instead of Tatum. He and Tatum are bosom buddies from all accounts, Tatum being the Robin to Kyries Batman.

It doesn't matter what Kyrie wants in this situation.  It's what the Pelicans want.  Tatum has the higher ceiling and they will push for tatum.  If it gets AD through the door, I'm willing to give them Tatum and the draft picks.

Kyrie + AD = championships in Boston.  If we keep the roster the same, we aren't winning any championships.
