Trade for Davis and resign Kyrie I guess.

Ainge spent a lot of money on players who aren't taking us there...Al, Kyrie, Hayward, etc...

why does the narrative keep changing against Kyrie?

Small players dont win championships? No single player wins any championship in the past 30 years.

So lets look at teams that have won the last 20 championships and look at their starting pg.

GSW - Steph 6foot3
GSW
Cleveland - Kyrie 6foot3
GSW
SAS - Parker 6foot2
Miami - Chalmers 6foot2
Miami
Dallas - Kidd 6foot4
LAL - Fisher 6foot1
LAL
Boston - Rondo 6foot1
SAS
Miami
SAS
Detroit - Billups 6foot3
SAS
LAL
LAL
LAL
SAS
Bulls - Harper 6foot6

The notion that you cannot win with a "small" pg is foolish.

And the notion that Irving has to, or cannot be the one, who can win finals MVP because of his size is incorrect as well.

If a player impacts his team winning the finals more than anyone else on the team....that player will get the MVP award.

Size does not matter in relation to this, it is an award given to impact.  If Boston wins the finals this season, and Kyrie continues to put up big numbers with everyone else on the team doing middling contributions, then Kyrie will win the MVP award.

Kyrie Irving will strongly consider the Brooklyn Nets this offseason, according to "some plugged-in to the NBA."

One source says Irving actually prefers the Nets over the New York Knicks.

Irving was traded by the Cleveland Cavaliers to the Boston Celtics during the 2017 offseason and he has had a sometimes tumultuous tenure with the team.

Do the Nets have enough money to get both Durant & Kyrie?

Between Russell and Dinwiddie they don't need him.
I can see Durant/Kawhi as targets that make sense.. not necessarily Kyrie.

Well if it's in the Daily News it must be true.  ::) ::)
Especially if someone plugged into the NBA told them it's so. :-\

They would need to trade Russell.

Isn't anywhere better than the freaking Knicks? Retirement?

This "Kyrie to consider" clap is going to get very old...actually, it already has gotten old.

Well, buckle in for the next ~2 months, then, because it's not about to stop.

You are missing the point. Small guards don't win championships. You need a Durant, Lebron, Leonard, Kobe, Pierce, etc....

Until we get someone like that, we aren't winning a championship.

Lol, an actual quote from this "report": "But logic would indicate that the longer the Celtics stay in the playoffs, the more likely Irving stays in Boston. In other words, the Knicks and Nets are rooting for the Milwaukee Bucks." In other words, this blogger (yes, I said blogger) is regurgitating what he's heard from other reporters.

Yes, right before perhaps our BIGGEST game of the season "NY" papers break this.

C'mon peeps..

The Unicorn knows stuff.

I think there is NOTHING more that desperate NY fans want than trouble in BOS and a distracted Kyrie.

I hope Kyrie puts his head down, focuses on the task at hand and get us a WIN tonight.

If we don't sign Kyrie, we have already lost.  IF we didn't want to sign him, we should have traded him.  No matter what you think of him, losing him for nothing is not a good strategy.

Signing him is better unless he blows out his knee or something like that, which is a risk for most any player.

If he is seriously considering leaving, then of course he would absolutely consider the Nets.  Why wouldn't he?
