I have noticed a few plays where he shows complete apathy. In one play last night, he 'helped' of his defender in the corner, by helped I mean got a front row seat to watch the lay up. You either provide help defence and try to disrupt the guy driving, or you stick close to your man. The in between laziness is awful.

This is exactly what I am talking about.

Plus, he never bends his knees on defense. You can't play defense standing straight up.

Really disappointed with him this season, thought he'd be our franchise cornerstone. Of course he still has time but it's looking pretty bad rn.

A guy idol is Kobe, is a bad start, it will all about him.

If you think Tatum is bad, watch Kyrie.

Tatum needs to get stronger and he thinks his length will get him out of situations at times, but he could get better.

I mean I can deal with all that baggage if he plays at the level of prime Kobe.

Tatum is way worse than Kyrie

I think it may be time to start Brown over him. Tatum is possibly being showcased for an upcoming trade though.

Some of the things some fans focus on is hilarious. Tatum is by far not the worst defender on the team.

How was Brown not staying with JJ all night? JJ kept getting loose.

All of these guys have lapses in defending and rebounding.

I think Tatum has tired legs. He's only missed one game all year. Some rest would do him well.

lol "tired legs"
He is 21 years old, and he isn't putting in the effort.
Brown was a plus 10 last night, and Tatum was a minus 17.

I wish Popovich was our coach.

Tatum is one of, if not the hardest worker of this team
Don't forget he had new tatoo on his legs and it certainly effected him

Brown went travel around the world in the summer, went for speech in the season, and the vise president, and went on TV show after ASB

It's clear than daylight Brown didn't care as much

Geez, players do get tired. LOL They aren't robots. He missed one game and he's been playing almost 30 mins a game.

I think what the OP meant to ask is, does Morris ever play defense?

When the game was falling apart, Morris had about 2-3 defensive breakdowns in a row in a crucial stretch in the 4th. Then Kyrie doesn’t help and Morris fouls Simmons for the 3 point play.

Yeah guys, who cares about our playoff push or if Tatum's leg doesn't work?  He got a cool tattoo!

It's amazing that Kyrie's PER of 25 isn't good enough, or Hayward's leg shattering is no excuse, but Tatum gets a pass for having the worst +/- on the team because he got a tattoo.  People, please stop making excuses for Tatum you wouldn't make for Kyrie or Hayward.
