Imo Smart makes it and Jaylen doesn’t. Harris makes it because teams could always use a knockdown sniper if even just for spacing. Pop I’m sure feels safer with veterans like Middleton and Barnes over Jaylen. Smart can legit defend 1-4 so he’s a lock as long as healthy. Kuzmas a pretty good rebounder and can play small ball 5 he stays.

I think a lot of people are sleeping on Jaylen Brown.   I really think he is a better player right now than both Smart and Barnes.  I haven't watched enough of Harris to feel confidant in saying whose better there.  Brown i really good.  He was limited a lot last year by the rotations but I think that actually helped him learn to play with more control.  I though he was very efficient on both sides of the ball in limited minutes last year.
Absolutely. TP for the observation.

Well, with Fox dropping out, only one player left who won't be on the team. Good chance all 4 Celtics make it in.

isnt Smart hand still not 100 percent?

I think he likely gets cut

Does the roster have to be set at 12?or can they carry more

Lol such a hater.

If you took any time to do research for yourself, you would have found out that Marcus smart is one of the captains.

Maybe I’ll wake up early and catch the end of that one.

Does anybody know who will broadcast the tournament, and when the playoff games will be? I think I saw on the FIBA site that the finals are on 9/15 at 8pm Beijing time, so 8 am on the east coast - but maybe they’ll be broadcast on delay at a reasonable hour?

It looks like ESPN has the rights to the games.  I would imagine the US games will be replayable on their basic app and air live on one of their many networks.  Supposedly all games (so Brazil vs. Montenegro, for example) will be on their premium service, ESPN+.

well on my version of Sling tv, it is on NBATV at 2:30 am here pacific time.

I dunno if I am going to be able to stay up that late or not, maybe.  I would like to see it live.
Sling is also showing it being replayed right after the game, and late afternoon the next day.

So maybe if you east coast guys get sling you can watch the replay at 7:30am?

Here's the view from the "$500 seats"

Seriously funny watching it on TV with the bench players and some crowd below court level, you can just see their heads  ;D
