If Smart's healthy, he's on. If not it's Harris/White is a pick 1.

After hearing about this butt kicking that happened today can’t see Smart not making it. I’m sure the guys were lackadaisical just showing up thinking their talent will win them the scrimmage. Smarts defense and hustle is contagious would be just what they need.

I’m excited for this early Celts preseason. Lol

2 guys are exactly Pops' type of players.

Smart and Brown.

they will both make it, and Tatum is one of the best shooters/scorers on the team, and kemba is easily the top lead guard.

If this is indicative of how things are going as a whole, I think it is interesting Brown didn't see the floor during this scrimmage. I'm not sure it has anything to do with Brown being on the hotseat, because Middleton didn't either.

It's not like either Tucker or Barnes amazed during that time, both of which would be Brown's competition. Barnes had two turnovers and left his man wide open for a 3. Tucker was a bit rigid with the ball at the top of the key. He was a non-threat and then lost his guy on a backcut.

Hopefully team USA dominates them today, especially defensively.

I think we saw a lot of Tucker and Barnes because I believe those are the guys on the hotseat.

I think Smart is ahead of Brown... but at the end of the day, both maybe cut (Smart due to minor injury)

Brown has mediocre bbiq and is not elite in one department.  Elite athleticism, but in order to impress a guy like Pops, it needs to be done in a short amount of time ..... Brown needs time/rep to get used to things (from what I have seen)

Smart is just a dog defensively ... which Pops welcomes

Tatum is looking more and more like an elite scorer

Kemba Walker track record speaks for itself

If tatum can simply add getting to the basket, finishing or going to the line to what he did last year, instead of some of his mid range shots, he will add 5 pts/gm to his stat sheet without adding much to any shot attempts.  That would be huge.  It would also get him inside more for a few more rebounds with his big wing span on his own misses.  I think we will see at least a part of that.  That would help open up the outside even more for open looks.  Also think they will run more with kanters rebounding, which will add a couple shots/gm over what they had last season.  Be nice to see 24,22,20, and 18 for their big 4, with 10+ for kanter and MS.  That top 6 alone would be 105-110 points on average, with another 10 points for the rest of the bench.  I can see them averaging 120/game if they mesh together, run more, and rebound better.

That’s pretty close to how I see it, at least on offense, defense is what will make or break this team.

Couple things ...

USA Basketball is not picking a final World Cup roster Saturday. At least 14 players are going to Australia. Roster will be 12 when the team goes to China.

Marcus Smart isn’t expected to play tomorrow vs Spain; he will likely play when team goes to Australia.

pretty silly if you ask me

why would you cut someone while in overseas

just set the roster before leaving the US

Probably because someone will quit while over there. Seems to be the trend.
