Spot on. Also, Burneko is kind of a trash NBA writer IMO. I've just never really loved his stuff. His food stuff is great, but otherwise....

Reminds me of Hamilton Nolan. I love when Hamilton Nolan talks about boxing. It is literally, without hyperbole, beautiful. Everything else just has a bad tone though.

Yeah, I don't get the redeeming value.  I tried substituting "Lakers" for "Celtics" to see if I could buy into the style, but no.  Just trash writing that is sub-Fanside / SBN Fanposts.

Yeah, he's the best, but Big Cat is decent, and Hank is used just enough to give good banter, plus he's a huge Boston fan which helps. But I agree that PFTCommentater is the ace.

I can handle hot-takey badness, Barstool does so much more.

The hilarious thing here is that you'd be hard-pressed to find anything like this for the Lakers - even though they're in worse shape (with a much cloudier future) than us....
