I think it's time to bring Rondo home next year. He would be a good floor general for this team and groom a young PG. He is one guy that could be a good table setter for this current team and keep every happy with their shots.

love Rondo but I don't think he fits Brad's offensive philosophy of ball movement and a guard that can shoot/make 3's.

I prefer an offense with a PG that runs an offensive scheme and distributes the ball for the best shots (basically, Rondo) to a bunch of guys that are either overpassing for TOs or going ISO (which we seem to have had for a couple of years).

Lol. So you don't like Kyrie as a player but you want Rondo back?

Ok so do we think he can be more effective than Wanamaker and Larkin.

Rondo is Smart he's just smaller.

This team doesn't need anymore shooting and scoring. They need direction, table setters and guys who do the intangibles. I don't believe the Rondo that left is the Rondo we see today.

Yes because what this team needs are the qualities that Rondo has.

Some of you are so enamored with points scored and flashy plays. LOL SMH

We have 3 starting caliber PGs and 2 starting caliber point forwards in Horford/Hayward.

I actually had to check if April Fools had snuck up on me.
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

I love Rondo and always defended him while he was here even through the rocky divorce. Even I think this is pretty much crazy at this point. I would like it from the standpoint of p---ing off the Rondo-haters though! LOL I've changed my mind, bring on Rondo!

Actually Rondo would be excellent for this team right now for many reasons.

Probably couldn't be a better fit, to be honest.

But...will he see weaknesses in Brad's system?

Best thing besides the fit is he would bring toughness and intelligence.

We lack both to embarrassing degrees.

Think with your head, not with your heart.

Meaning he wouldn't get along with the system? Or should I say "decisions" because that's the only grey area I see.

And man...Rondo has ALWAYS been underrated by everyone in the entire country.

I would give him 10 mill next year to lead these guys, and I see them busting their ass for him.

Rondo WILL use this teams strengths.

Exactly, that is my thinking as well. We dont need anymore scoring. We need more IQ. Could you imagine Smart and Rondo creating havoc....while also shooting bricks. LOL

My point is he brings great qualities to a team...he gives them what they need. Remember he almost orchestrated a major upset vs Bulls 2 yrs ago until he got hurt.

I don't know why anyone worried about his shooting, because he got to the rim at will and kept the defense honest. He's a better shooter nowadays anyway.

But why did yall put that in my head...that would be a tough team to take out.

So many things they would learn from him too, and i'm sure they already respect him.

Rondo still doesn’t play defense most games.

He is a better passer than Kyrie, and he probably has better instincts regarding how to get a slumping teammate going. But ultimately, you’re left with a player who doesn’t play defense, is below average as a score, who isn’t much of a leader, and who is prickly with the media.  Plus, I think he wore out his welcome with CBS.

I’m not seeing the upgrade.
