Albert Haynesworth back in 2009 comes to mind.  7 years, $100 million with bonuses.  Signs the contract and then basically quits on his team.
Yea he might be worst in NFL history or all of sports
C/PF-Horford, Baynes, Noel, Theis, Morris,
SF/SG- Tatum, Brown, Hayward, Smart, Semi, Clark
PG- Irving, Rozier, Larkin

Hayward's contract -- even if he never plays a game -- is not close to the worst in basketball history.

Not sure if anyone mentioned this already but Joh Wall is coming off a torn Achilles' tendon and about to start a 4y $170m extension.

Hayward's contract the worst in sports history? Hah. I can name 3 Red Sox contracts worse than that

Pablo Sandoval 5 years $95 million
Carl Crawford 7 year $142 million
Adrian Gonzalez 7 year $154 million

The monies may be different due to the times but the contract Danny gave Mark Blount(6 years $40 million) was way worse than the contract Hayward has.

Yeah, Wallace's contract was bad but not all time bad. But taking on that contract was the price we paid for those Brooklyn picks, so it was a good contract for us.

The Sandoval contract is killing the Red Sox right now, because they are paying Sandoval $19M against their cap to sit on the Giants' bench, and the owner Henry doesn't want to go over the cap to sign Kimbrel as closer, which could kill the season.

In Boston sports I'd say Sandoval's was the worst. Panda never got on the field and when he did he looked like this:

Any odd typos are because I suck at typing on an iPhone :D

Gordon Hayward's going to have some people eating Crow Sandwiches - this season and playoffs AND especially next season....

If he's still inconsistent NEXT season then we can revisit this thread. But I believe he'll be just fine - and be a key player for us down the stretch.
