Is this our most pathetic performance of the year? Down 24 to the BULLS

Reminds me a bit of earlier in the season, but yeah it could be.  Zero intensity on defense.

This combined with the LAC and the LAL losses after big leads have to be up there as well.  It hasn't been the greatest last few weeks.

This is the direct result of what happens when you let a subpar team get on a run by not recognizing when **** isn't working, Brad. You let that inept second unit give up the lead and let them get going, and they haven't stopped since.

Ya man, I think he could have called as many timeouts as he wanted and it wouldn't have made any difference at all. The team went to half, came out and has looked exactly the same as it did in the 2nd, only its the starters playing bad. At some point theres nothing a coach can do if the guys on the floor cant guard anything.

No team ball, no emotion. Steven's has lost this team, they tune him out.

At this point, I'm doubtful that Brad even showed any emotion during halftime after that miserable first half effort. How can they come out like this after that first half?

Clearly he's not reaching these guys, and it also seems more and more clear that there's just no discipline or accountability being demanded by the coaching staff. Just a complete blown year by the coachign staff that has been a bust at managing this group.

And pacers keep winning.
We are 5th and staying there.
I still have hopes for playoffs, but regular season has been a huge disappointment.
( and if u ask me it started in the pre season games)

Agreed. Not sure if Stevens is getting through to his team anymore and not sure if he's even trying to. It's like the whole organization has just thrown their hands up.

I mean, if that's the case, that's an even more dam[n]ing indictment against the coaching staff. That they can't even get their guys to play with energy and intensity and not get embarrassed by a bottom team in the league is a serious indictment of their effectiveness.

And it's not wholly about timeouts, or even rotations. It's deeper than that. It's a complete failure to hold players responsible for half-arse efforts and poor decision-making. The players just don't respond to the coaching staff, because they aren't held accountable and do not respect them.

shameful effort by this team.  no desire to win.  just mailing this in.  wish there was a way to financially penalize players for mailing in this kind of effort.

If they play the Pacers without 'dipo they should not need homecourt.

then they will get either Milwaukee or Toronto, which they will have to beat on the road regardless as there is no way they are catching either team at this point.

So in reality, it is not a big deal if they finish 5th.
