I do believe part of early season woes were the play of Hayward.I think Danny and Brad know they need Hayward to be back and that meant playing as close to 100% as possible.
This meant supporting his recovery over players minutes even when unsupported by results.Games were lost,dissension rose and through it all Brad was level.Gordon got time even in 4th quarter games because that is what he needed pressure and it is now starting to show.
All the talk shows and press trying to blame someone .
Brad has has been taking heat to the point of accusations of favoritism.
Rozier and Morris are in a contract years and Morris has a chance at a title while Kyrie is navigating leadership and having a ruthlessly efficient run of games.We lose Baynes and Kyrie gets hurt on top of all the trade deadline posturing and rumors.And two blown leads then two tough opponents and wins.
And Danny stands pat!!!
Hayward has needed every minute,every situation up or down.The All Star break and Auerbach Center will be in full use for Hayward and teammates The next 20 games are just a tuneup and jockeying for playoffs.
Anything less than a trip to Finals will not be taken kindly-
The victories over OKC,Philly , Toronto and even Detroit was on a winning streak and it was a back to back.And Hayward held up well.
