Given all the doom and gloom here lately, this is a nice read:

Also not sure if this is true, but someone Tweeted Philly is now 1-7 (.125) against the Bucks, Raptors and Celtics. The only East teams with worse records are the Bulls (0-7), Cavs (0-8) and Hawks (0-8).

And we were complaining cause most of our good record came from home wins. Woof.

Prob why quite a handful of posters on here don't take them seriously yet.

I only caught the 2nd half but thought Philly played pretty well.  It's just that the Celtics played even better.  It was an entertaining game.  Had some playoff feel to it.

It’s because Al Horford has taken permanent residence inside Joel’s little brain.
Any odd typos are because I suck at typing on an iPhone :D

Glad to see the national pub for what I've been saying on here for awhile (and mostly getting killed for it), Horford is a terrible matchup for Embiid and Horford is the reason Embiid struggles against the C's (not Baynes like so many on here contended).  Horford is one of the few players in the league that is both quick enough and strong enough to guard Embiid without much help.  That is a huge factor in all the Sixer/Celtic games the last two seasons.

You have been killed on celticsblog for saying Al Horford is a bad matchup for Embid? That seems pretty strange...

To be honest I have no idea what Moranis is trying to say lol. Horford is a terrible match up for Embiid and Horford is the reason Embiid struggles against the C's. Which one is it lol

“He’s not doing anything,” Embiid said when asked about Horford’s defense. “I was sleep-walking for three quarters, and that’s on me.”

Sounds like a guy who clearly knows that Horford is living rent free in his head, but he's too busy 'sleep walking,' to ask for monetary compensation as the Landlord.

I was having some fun today reading the comments in the game thread on Liberty Ballers. One guy said that Horford can only keep this up for a year or two, then natural causes will take place. Isn't it funny, Embiid being the caliber of player that he is but keeps getting locked up by ''Average Al''. The fans know Horford is his daddy and the only way to beat him is to wait for him to get old. Kind of funny.

Yeah, because you’re wrong. In fact, Mannix and Scal were talking about Baynes and both agreed that not only is Baynes a great defender on Embiid, especially how he pushes him out of spots, but that he just might be the the BEST Embiid defender in the entire league.

So, yeah, everyone disagrees with you because you’re wrong. You have repeatedly said that Baynes does a poor job on Embiid. That said, Horford is a great Embiid defender too. So it’s great to have 2 guys to throw at him.

Almost like its... not true. I do remember someone claiming that Baynes couldn't guard Embiid and getting blowback for that.

And that one win... against Toronto without Kawhi, Ibaka, or Valanciunas.
